Rocketfan85 are you Boki because your saying all these things that you couldn't have seen if your just a rocket fan. I agree you have to give him minutes to see what he's got, but you really have no idea, atleast no more of an idea than any of the other rocket fans on this site.
In the first article, Yao Ming said that, "At the draft day, after Xue Yuyang was selected by Nuggets, someone in Rockets called me and told me this news immediately. I just said to him that 'Nuggets made the right choice.'" Now I know who called Yao at that day.
Is that surprising? JVG always looks like that someone owes him a couple hundred bucks. ...which probably explains why no one sits near him in that pic.
The resemblance between JVG and his daughter is shocking. She already has his folds under her eyes (eek).
he should never allow himself to be photographed again without stage make-up on. if he looks that tired & withdrawn now, just imagine how bad he will look after trying to teach our guards to pass the ball and play defense!
I totally agree...I think Boki would do a better job of complimenting Yao and is willing to be a team player...
Kid: Nice polo, dork. This must be why Snackbar rides the pine. He needs to wear gear like a baller. Notice Van Gundy goes for the drab T-shirt. I love him.
I will not stand for this. You cannot call me a clown. The appropriate title is Assclown, with a capital A.
No, he mentioned Boki in the context of the PF position. He was asked if he thought the Rockets needed some roster changes. He replied that one of the needy positions was the PF. Then he said that Boki was actually a pretty good PF. My guess is that he thought Boki should have been used as a PF rather than a SF as everybody assumed. BTW, he also said he liked the pick, and that if the guy could only get more rebounds at the PF, that would be a big difference. Sounds like Yao is not very pleased with the power fowards' rebounding.
What I did notice is that a lot of people looking to bash Steve ignore the fact that Francis drove Yao around, gave him advice on dealing with the media, stretched with Yao on the first day and continued to do so for the rest of the time, and has made many efforts to help Yao Ming adjust to the NBA. That's going much further toward helping a rookie than many other star players have done on other teams.
