I don't know why everyone is so down on Van Gundy, I think he would make a fine little assistant to Rudy.
hey don't make fun of kenny's D, harper once said called him "a b**** to score on." oh wait... sorry, he called him "his b**** to score on." nm then.
i would argue all the dumba$$ points listed above, but i'm downloading something and if i participate in a long argument with crackheads, i'll never finish downloading my file.
just five more hours , i'm downloading some files(divx files take several hours to dl on 56 kbps modem, been dling since this morning). that doesn't mean, i won't argue it. you already made me slow down my dl by making me saying this. are you trying to slow down my dl, so i don't have to argue with you.
Wait...what's so funny again??? Tell me who is a better defensive coach than Rudy... Larry Brown. Rick Carlisle...Del Harris. Well yeah there's a few. But Rudy is good on defense. He isn't a master at defene. He isn't a master at offense. He isn't a master at teaching. But he's good at everything. And besides......he has an incompetent staff of assistants. When I watch other games...during timeouts...the head coach is usually staring off to space while his assistants are the ones who are all doing the work and giving him advice and talking to the players...but our team...all they do is say Good Job and Keep It Up. Rudy needs help!
i think its time for rudy to give the driver seat to another coach. i mean, he did everything! won 2 championships! coached the 95 rockets which is one of the best teams assembled(eventhough their season record doesnt show it), he won a gold medal in the olympics, he coached an all-star team. he achieved everything a coach can. i think he should pass the blessing to others. lol. he can still be in the rocs org, like a president or GM of something. lol
Are you r****ded? Also, the Knicks had a WHOLE lot more than "just Patrick Ewing and John Starks" (which was plenty at the time). Try Charles Oakly and Anthony Mason IN THEIR PRIMES (which was a BRUTAL time in the NBA to be a post player), not to mention a young(er) Derek Harper. And he only started because Doc Rivers was lost for the year earlier that season. Not to sound like a Knicks fan or anything (far from it--I hate those losers), but you might want to beef up on your league history before you start flapping your gums. And Riles was the coach--not Van Gundy.
sniffing lead paint chips is bad for you. it does brain damage. if you read the whole thread, you would know that i already acknowledged the presence of oakley and mason and how ewing's game declined when oakley and mason were traded. a young derek harper? are you stupid or something? he was old by the time he played with the knicks and i think if i remember correctly, his stats kept on improving with the knicks. hmmm... could it have something to do with good coaching.... you yourself said they were losers and i agree. and as i already pointed out before when i finally remembered riley coached, cause i remember the dejected look on his face leaving the summit with his slick hair and armani suit. i remember cause that was probably the front page on most ny newspapers and it said pat the rat or something along those lines when he left. don nelson coached the knicks after that, and the knicks sucked with him coaching. then van gundy took over and the team returned to riley's original style of play and the wins started to follow. and when van gundy came on, the team already made some major trades getting rid of mason for larry johnson(not as good as he was before the injury), and they signed two players in allan houston and chris childs. neither really lived up to expectations. they also traded starks for pj carlisimo choker latrell sprewell. and later on, after a season or so, i think they traded oakley for camby. and later on ewing was traded to the sonics for a draft pick or something? i don't quite recall. and you might want to read what i actually said before flapping your gums.
not every post, just everytime a f**king dumba$$ thinks that i don't remember riley coached that team.
This really is a dumbass thread. Who the hell wants JVG to coach our team anyway! I sure as hell don't!
Just one point - this is off because Harper absolutely owned Smith and Cassell that series. Our backcourt in general was outgunned.
So now, on top of accusing people of being crack-heads, you are now hanging "sniffing lead paint chips" on me? Uh, ok--good one. I said Harper was younger, not young (speaking of reading what people write), and maybe the "f***ing dumb@$$es" wouldn't think you don't remember who coached that Knicks team if you hadn't said that in your second post in this thread. Someone needs to check their history...and get their thong out of a wad.
P.S.--If I wanted the history of the Knicks' transactions from 1994 until now, I would have asked. What are you, the Knicks' franchise history rep? Go back to NY, you idiot Bricks fan.
