JVG has nothing but high praises for TMac. Last year he said that Tracy was the #2 SG in the NBA behind Kobe. Also said he was the best playmaker right behind Steve Nash. Is it really surprising? Both Yao and Tracy went to bat for JVG when Houston was shopping for coaches a couple years ago.
Asked how do you fix this? JVG says Tracy is high-maintenance and has a bad body but at same time low-maintenance with good bball IQ. That Tracy feels the fans have turned on him and that affects him. He needs to just get healthy, but the microfracture is no joke if he gets it. Doesn't believe he is doing this to "get back anybody" because of a contract year coming up. Too much to gamble

Gotta admit.. JVG was hilarious. Remember when VSPAN told him that back in Greece "I am TMac"? Then JVG said... "What! But here we have the REAL TMac." Of course that was when Tracy was playing well... Then we traded for Jake Tsakalidis and he said "I figured he and Billy could sit on the end of the bench and Billy can complain to him in Greek."
Asked what he thought of this team without t-mac? JVG says this can be a very good team without t-mac, but "legitemately thought" this would be a championship team up with the lakers. Thinks we can win a playoff series, possibly home court in 1st round, but will miss t-mac. Asked about Adelman? JVG agrees with RA that there should be protocol with the way t-mac handled it. Says RA can coach anyone.. coached bonzi well and has coached artest well. Doesnt believe it's a "disconnect" with tracy but just that it wasnt handled correctly
