That would be a pretty funny closing argument in his trial.

Haha, my first reaction is also the image of Winona Ryder, once my favourite actress. Maybe Juwan suffers the similar mental illness:) Only god knows. If the Houston team can get rid of his contract and get some extra salary space, maybe it's a good trial.

According to your logic, so is the teacher that taught you english.

And in answer to your ignorant language, people choose to give the money they pay in the examples you give whether the choice is made or waived. There is NO excuse in todays society for someone to steal.

stealing is not good. then again, juwan's passing abilitity, shooting accuracy and defense are not good either.

    To Jeff Van Gundy,

secretly replace the Spalding basketballs with one's labeled "RAY BAN" during the Rockets games.

Long time ago I went into Walgreens in the mall to get some candy bars and sodas, for me and friends. Put (yes) Butterfinger bars in my jacket pouch cuz it was too much to hold when I got the sodas. Said forget Butterfingers, went to put them back, and got some Snickers for everyone instead. Paid for the Snickers and sodas, bagged them up and left. When I reached my friends and they paid me back for their share, I reached into the jacket pouch where my wallet was and pull that out AND 6 Butterfinger Bars!

Anyways, KNOWING they weren't paid for I TOOK THEM BACK cuz I knew in my conscience that I had unpurchased items. (Could just as easily said to myself there they didnt catch me oh well what they don't know won't hurt anything...) Just saying relating to Juwan Howard's case, at some point he must have KNOWN he had sunglasses in his possession he didn't pay for.

Not like that was big grocery shopping he was doing and there's that one can of corn that slipped by the cashier or anything...He might have said to himself 'Aah hell I'm an NBA star and multimillionaire here' and had the big sense of entitlement people in his position usually have, sure. But, if he's the community oriented person and honorable, this stand up guy and example of what's all good then I feel he should have TAKEN THEM BACK after (presumably) he knew what he had on him. To at least protect his image if truly was "an honest mistake".

he made many 'honest mistakes' when the yao was calling for the ball and juwan instead threw the ball at the direction of the rim and it bounced high in the air and made huge clanging noise that shook the stadium.

I find it funny you would rather support an accused child molestor and dead beat dad than an accused shop lifter. God help your kids..

I understand your dislike, I think we all do. But J. Howard is a Rocket, and I'll want nothing but the best for Rocket players. I was referring to your love for Calvin and MadMax. As much as Howard doesn't do on the court, he is very involved in the community, and for this I think we should at least respect the man.

    longtimefan,
look im just joking, i dont want to see juwan behind bars or anything.
i just dont like his game. he needs to hang with Matress Mack to get some furniture for all the brickhouses he's built. i also wont use this an excuse to waive him either. i think we can trade juwan for some younger players. juwan can help kids in new communities read to achieve!

This reminds me long time ago, when I first got here, I used to go shopping at Albertson next to my apt. Over the weekend, there were stacks of newspaper near the exit door. Since they were outside the checking stand, I thought they were free to pick up. I "stole" it so naturally that nobody stopped me until after a couple of month or even longer, I saw sb. paid it first before picking up the newspaper. I was so embarrassed and never did it again :p
