regardless of what you think about him he was a vital piece of why we did what we did w/o yao....so give him some props!!!
DwangBoy I think you may have misconstrued the intent of my post. I am not attacking anything you said, nor your right to rant about it. Except for the Denver game, there is plenty of reason for fans to be ranting and raving. I probably could even agree with some of your conclusions. Yet, I was merely pointing out that within your post your focus on "not finishing at the basket" was what was most germane to me since that was the most evident flaw in the game against the Spurs. Anything else you were saying did not register with me as strongly, positively or negatively, as that did and that is why I said "all of that aside." I was utilizing your descriptive analysis of one player to describe the entire team`s play against the Spurs. In my own thinking, I was affirming you, not attacking you...
roger doger, true story. i just think finishing around the basket can be fixed.. juwan's consistent shot taking is what bugs me.. it's probably just me.. i but when i watch him play, it's like he tries to please the coach but has this ulterior motive to get his... (i.e. steal rebounds from his teammates.. i know you've seen this) and it just p!sses me off.. i don't exactly know how to explain it.. but if you watched the game with me and i saw it i would let you know..
OK let me explain this metaphor.. haha juwan spent the beginning of the year on the bench.. JVG didn't want him, we didn't want him.. after yao goes down, he markets himself in the form of this shooting horse..pretty good, hustling all of a sudden.. hey, maybe we'll let him in the rotation and cut hayes' playing time.. fast forward.. playoff time now. oh crap... looks like the physical part and scoring was great, but now that we've allowed him to penetrate our rotation..... we're doomed..... he tricks the coach into thinking he's useful, but it's just a facade of hustle plays.. the inefficient shots and passes and rebound stealing don't REALLY help.. where is hayes? oh he got shot in the ankle.. but an arrow from Juwan... OH WELL!.. lets pack it up and go home.. hahaha sorry if that doesn't make sense... and it's a pretty big sarcasm.. but it points out what i'm afraid of juwan doing to our team in the long run.
