Why Portland would get him is the head-scratcher IMHO. Juwon Howard? Really? Its kinda' hard to say you got him for vet experience and leadership because Juwon has been overpaid his entire career-if anything he'll teach the kids how to get paid way more than you should be. I'd rather sign whoever's the top big man in D-league lol
Yes, the Wizards overpaid him for a very long term contract. However that doesn't have any bearing on why Portland signed him. Howard is exactly what they need with that bunch of young talent. He won't play much, but will provide the veteran leadership they lack. He's a great fit for the Blazers. I really think the Blazers can beat the Lakers with him!
