juwan for D. miles and maybe a 2nd have Miles on the bench im quite sure hed make for a better pf than juwan anyways hes just as tall more athletic and can play better Defense....... I think portland would do it just to get a stable vet in the locker room... and who the hell said lets play him as a C in a small lineup Id rather play chuck hayes... or even battier **** id rather have bonzi... juwan at the 5 is just a bad idea imo...

Are you the reincarnation Ricky Ricardo?

If not, you got some 'splaining to do regarding Juwon being 'spendable.

I said put him at the 5 because it is the only place where we can hide his lack of quickness, speed, athleticism, and defensive skills when he is on the floor.

While I certainely have been an advocate of trading him for DMiles, I would not do that right now, not unless DMiles checked out physically. Rumors steaming out of PDX are that Miles' knees are in horrible shape and he may have to retire. In that case, I'd rather keep Juwan for a little while until we know we aer not going to need im at the backup 5. I am convinced we don't need him at the PF position. My only concern is whether or not we have enough decent depth behind Yao. If we find out Chuckie and Deke can handle it for this year, I'd do the deal even if DMiles knees were blowed out because we would get to wipe off that salary in a year or so.

I'm also wondering. If Bonzi doesn't work out here.........could we ship him and Juwan out for DMiles if Darius is indeed healthy and can ball?

    Per KingKow:

"Juwan is actually a good deal considering his contract expires soon. There is still value on the monetary side."

We are stuck with him this season and next I think.....I guess his expiring contract would have some value to someone after that time.....

Bonzi is goin to opt out next year and will most likely take a MLE deal since no one will be able or willing to give him more... so a trade of bonzi and juwan would be far in excess of miles' contract not only that id rather have bonzi and juwan than miles. i say we just trade juwan by himself for someone, anyone.... since the only way we can package him really is with head and i think head will be a valuable asset...

I know the position can play J. H0e's ... Full time IR w/ Rybo ... he can have all the PT there.

You didn't hear the latest report on DMiles, did you? Took MRI, docs analyzing results, possibly heading to microfracture surgery.

No sense trading Juwan now... he isn't getting a lot of PT, and chances are neither will whoever replaces him, and they will likely make a similar salary.

At least with Juwan, he will do his job in limited minutes and won't be a team cancer. I can't guarantee it about whoever you trade him for.
