Speaking of Kenny Thomas... Someone remind me who the Rox traded him for. Whoever it was, it didn't make sense to me at the time.

I believe he's made the playoffs once in his career, and that was off the bench with Dallas. 2 years ago doesn't count because he was injured.

There is some serious Lhutz material here. Riddy of Rudey and now Jawan is spendable. Reincarnation?

Despite not being thrilled with the contract, I for one am glad we have a vet big of Howard's skills and savy (also knows the limits of his skills) to come off the bench to spell the 5 and 4.

Well said... Whatever his flaws as a player, he's still a class act and provides good leadership in the locker room. The worst that could happen is that he'll sit on the bench.

I don't understand this concept of people deciding there are certain people on the team that we need to get rid of and our team will somehow immediately improve once they are gone.

It would be one thing if people were looking to make a trade to address a specific need on the team, but just wanting to trade Juwan without some idea of what type of player we should trade for makes no sense.

James Posey, then we didnt sign him in the offseason. It made sense at the time because we had a logjam at power foreward with mo taylor and eddie griffin.

Yea, there's about 2 dozen guys id rather have at PF over JHO, but that contract aint goin nowhere without an incentive. The question is, WHO would you GIVE UP to get out from under his contract. Assuming all you get back is expiring contracts (so youd have the $ for the FA market) who would you be willing to give up to entice another team to take JHO? And yea, we know youd give up RYBO, but whats THE MOST youd give up? Head? Novak?

I don't think it's a good idea.Is it just because of having so many good cards in our hands? It is early to consider trading him until the 06-07 season past.
    go rockets !!!!!!!

    Per Mr. Meowgy:

    " JUWAN HATERS SUCK!
    GO ROCKETS!!!!!!!!
THAT'S ALL THERE IS TO IT!
WELL, BESIDES THE FACT THAT RUDY GAY SUCKS!"

I eally do not care about Juwan. So I'm not hatin'....I do not think you could make a trade involving him that would benefit the Rockets. We are stuck with him, it could be worse though. I do not want to trade him for more damaged goods like the Mo Taylor deal for Moochie's contract???
