How about Juwan Howard for Shareef Abdul-Rahim!

Juwan 33 yrs. old makes $6.3M this year with 3 years left on his contract.

Shareef 29 yrs old makes $5.4M this year has 5 yrs left on his contract, i think!

Not to mention, he is sharing with 5 other forwards that includes Thomas, Williamson, Artest, Salmons and not to mention the newly acquired ex-Rockets Maurice Taylor. Althought a lot of things needs to be done inorder the trade to work but it's just a thought. But realistically, it might just work!

I have a hard time understanding why some of you think anyone would make a trade for JHo. At this point, the Rox are plain stuck with this guy. There will be no trade, instead, JHo is going to be taking up a valuable roster spot and I'm convinced his minutes will be by far the lowest of his career. We have some young gunners and more talented role players that will be a better fit on the court than JHo. JHo will serve the Rox when needed during playoff time in spot duty.

One would tend to agree, per se. Especially if we have more important needs to rectalfy.

Hell no on SAR. He's just as bad. He too can't rebound or play a lick of defense anymore and he relies on a similar mid range jumpshot. He's more mobile but believe me he's way past his prime.

I'll pass on the five year albatross of a contract that SAR got.

Obviously, SAR is just playing 20+ minutes because Sacramento Queens has to many forwards last year and even mor this year!

Yes this is VERY realistic. I am so sure the Kings want to get rid of a SAR for another guy that is of 0 benefit to them in the short or long run. JHo is going NOWHERE and it is really not that big of a deal.

Everyone that says JHo is reason we can't win championship is WRONG. The only reason we can't win is because our big time players (TMac, Yao, and now Battier also) aren't getting the job done.

Simple rule of thumb which for some reason this board doesn't understand. The star players deserved credit AND blame for everything that happens to team simple as that, JHo is just kind of there, he has now become like a Casey Jacobson, he won't really hurt and probably won't help.

They have SAR and Kenny Thomas, that's it. Corliss Williamson barely even plays. Vitaly Potopenko is goiing to get cut, so they only really have 2 guys now. But seriously, the guy is a stiff. I'm sure you guys don't watch Kings games but if you did you'll notice how similar his game is to Howard's. The both just shoot jumpshots all day. SAR is garbage. Kings fans hate him and he's been terrible in preseason.

I'd rather have JuHo than SAR. At least Howard has a more reasonable contract. Both SAR and Howard are allergic to rebounds and defense so we gain nothing from SAR.

I think the Rockets would have to pay someone to take Juwon off their hands.

Juwan is actually pretty decent backup PF that can hit some mid range jump shots. Decent rebounder as well. I cant think of any other better backup PF than him in this league.

Whats spendable or absolutely useless is Rybo!!!

While I agree Howard is the odd man out on our roster, he is still a consistent, veteran player. You know he can give you that 10-15 foot jumper all night long if that's what you need. He has been in big games and intense playoff series and understands the pressure.

Keeping Howard will be good for us in the long run because his contract expires around the time Yao and TMac will be in their prime or just past it. If we can trade his contract at that time for a new up-and-coming player, it will extend the play of Yao and TMac.

Juwan is garbage. The rest of the league knows he is garbage.

    Little or no trade value.

As long as he sits on the bench and does not sniff any time on the court, all is good.

Agreed here. Stop hating JH! He is a classy act and an integral part of what TMac calls a great locker room. Yes, he makes too much money for his role but it's not his fault. I believe he'll be in the rotation especially when we have to play small.

Let's forget about all those useless trade dreams - We already have enough capable bodies. Just pray our 2 All Stars stay healthy all season.

    I will pray everyday
