Juwan has been playing great lately. Makes me feel better because I was concerned. He looked like he was wearing down a little a couple weeks ago and it was looking like we should have went ahead and did those 2 trades we had on the table but he really knows his role and has become reliable, efficient, and great at it. I can't complain about Juwan at all. He does whatever the team needs him to do. You need more scoring, he can step up. You need him to just play solid defense and rebound while knocking down that midrange jumper to keep the defense honest he is your man.

Will Rockets keep him next year? He will have some trade value (expiring contract after next year...). But I really think he is valuable to this team and will hate to see him go.

unless they get a deal they cant resist for a impact starter, Juwan probably stays.
He provides very steady veteran influence, knows his role, doesnt make many mistakes, and gives it his all when he plays.
He will continue to produce off the bench until he cant do it anymore, and when that happens hopefully Novak will have matured and put on some weight.

if not, we will have to find another.

But next year his salary will grow to 7 or 8 mil(can someone confirm?). That's a high price for a bench player.

The Rox had a deal before the trade deadline involving JHo but JVG nixed it saying it would mess up chemistry. JHo has made himself popular enough with the coaches and other players that they want him to be around as a good character guy even if he falls out of the rotation, if they find another big in the future. Then again that guy still ties up alot of cap at 6 plus mill a year, where it could be used elsewhere. And he is 35.

I just wonder if we can win a ring with JHo as a main rotation player, who has been trade fodder for so many teams. I just get an icky feeling when I remember that he was a Maverick at one time and we have a Maverick reject.

dont matter to me...Im not paying his salary.

if he can still play like he is this year, combined with the added value (hard to quantify) of a reliable veteran that knows the ssytem inside and out, doesnt make it *that* bad for those that care about stuff like that.

I'm willing to bet that he sticks around...He's yet another "glue" guy for this team. His professionalism and competitiveness sets good examples for the younger players(Chuck Hayes), and he has really good chemistry with Tracy Mcgrady both on and off the court.

He's a very valuable player for us when his shot is falling like it has been recently.

Not that it matters to me either... I brought it up since this is the ONLY possible reason that Rockets may want trade him.

Dude, please. Zboy was absolutely right when he was criticizing Juwan's WNBDL quality performances last season.

Juwan got better, it's not as if everybody was going on about how quality Juwan is except Zboy.

I'm not buying you're retroactive "I told you so", sell that crap somewhere else.

I knew someone was going to mention shades but I didn't think they could do it in a new, original way. You proved me wrong. That was pretty good.

Exactly! Wasnt he out of the rotation earlier in the season? The only positive thing people could say what a professional he was. Now this season he came to play!!! He and Mt. Motumbo are a major reason we have the record we have. Props to Juwan this season!
