Well at the same time you had time to see Cato play. Right now your going on 3 games really....lets come up with some reasonable amount of games before you go crazy on the guy....lets see how he does....if he continues to stink it up then fine..i mean he did get 9 boards as well he does have a few positive things.

But yeah i will agree his shooting has not been up to par.

The point is stack, its been 3 games. But I have seen Juwan Howard with Tmac before.. Last year when they were the worst team in the NBA. also Juwan played for the Wizards scaring off players like Ben Wallace, Rasheed Wallace, Chris Webber..etc etc

So no its been more than 3 games that I've seen Juwan. That's why i've been flaming him for so long. I've seen what he's done to other franchises. So I'm critical of him if he doesn't play well cause he never helps his team win.

Besides I wanted an athletic defense PF instead.

Plus where were all the preseason haters that were telling me that this guy averages 17pts and 7boards? I shut them up like a bad sitcom.

Okay so you have this long lived hatred for him lol.....

Well with Ben Wallace i believe he was part of a trade if i not mistaken right? he was sent from Orlando cause he was a bench player....

But don't *bad* sitcoms at least get a whole year? Maybe 82 games? Heh... ;) Seriously. If JH scores 17PPG on THIS team, there IS problem (Yao!).

So, lets hope that Yao doesn't have a "problem."

Damn, are you gonna freaking start a thread after every bad game? Why don't you just start a "Reasons I Hate Howard" thread and then bump that sh*t up everytime you feel like b****ing. It'd save bandwidth.

Shouldn't all these complaints that are based on the performance of the last game be in the game thread?

While I don’t have the same distain for Howard that tinman has, I do feel he has been overrated on this board. A lot of people here were shocked that Taylor was named the starter instead of Howard. From what I’ve seen, it’s pretty clear why Van Gundy is starting Taylor over Howard.

I personally think that both mo taylor and howard are terrible at defense. How many fouls did they have between the two fo them last night? 11? 12?

Out of the two, taylor is more gifted offensively but on defense he's horrible.

I thought howard was more well-rounded. Where is that?

Tinman, this schtick got old within the first 10 threads/posts. Are we going to hear this everytime Howard has a subpar game?

I'm sure we won't hear from you when he has the normal solid type of game that he has shown throughout his career.

Unfortunately, I have to agree. But any kind of agreement I have with the scarecrow's JH bashing is mitigated by the fact that i't's an obsession with him and he loses all credibility whatsoever.

Regardless of whether we agree with you or not, just like EDC and his Van Gundy fixation, MOST OF US JUST DON'T WANT TO HEAR IT!

The idea that 1 person can destroy a team is ludicrous. So please stop with your- oh, it doesn't matter, you're too far gone with your obsession. Enjoy being ignored by the masses, Haley.

    Francis was our "franchise player"

Hakeem use to be our franchise player.

Role players, although important, are measured differently. We don't expect Howard to carry this team. The expecations aren't as great. So, it's not "uberlove." We don't have delusions with Howard. Personally, I think he's just a *little* better power-foward than MoT. Are either of them great? No. We could do better. But still, it's not as bad as tinman is making it seem.

If a trade possibility comes along, we may take it (package deal for Bosh! ;) ). It just depends.

Jesus tinman, stop whining about Howard. It gets so annoying listening to a Rocket fan get personal about one of the players and constantly trash him. The guy had a bad not. God.

Yeah, right, Rocket fans ran Steve out of town. Rockets management got rid of him because a few people on a Rockets message board ripped Francis. That "Johnny come lately soft PF" has career numbers of around 17 and 9 so I'll take that. One bad game doesn't change that. As for why people ran it down Hakeem's throat and not Juwan, because Juwan has only been here for 2 months before you guys have decided to whine and complain and rip the guy CONSTANTLY. At least wait until the guy has played 2 months in the regular season with the team before ripping him.

Bingo! Some people have a hard time getting this. Howard IS NOT the go-to guy. He is a role player for us. And role players have bad games. Howard is actually a very good player and a solid PF. But people are going to have to be patient with the guy. You have people who can't wait to start up threads ripping the guy for whatever reason and other people who are looking to defend the people ripping him just so they can defend Steve Francis. The entire thing is old.

I don't disagree with that at all...but i mean a thread each night about it is a bit over doing it...he could continue in one thread..i dunno i guess i kind of reserve my bashing at least until we see a month of games or something...to see how they really play.

The problem with the Rockets' PFs is this:

    J Howard: good fundamental...lack size
Taylor: lack fundamental...has a bit of size

As a result...Rox are not getting the PEFECT PF that they needed. Some people suggest Motombo to play PF, that might be effective but he ain't fast enough to keep up with the PF and plus who's going to back up Yao??? Just not a good idea if you think about it.
