Another impact of starting Mo over Juwan. Juwan could probably adjust to coming off the bench, but he is a much better starter imo. Taylor is better off the bench imo. I just think the pair combined would give you a lot better production that way. Not to mention Mo got absolutely scorched defensively last night.

I realize this is just one game and that its against the champs. Hopefully Juwan doesnt live up to his reputation as the Titanic of NBA, dropping NBA franchises to the bottom of the ocean.

Having him come of the bench reduces him to Gilligan's Island.

I like your thinking. Howard would rebound much better and that would really help Yao. With Taylor in there, they were consistently beaten on the boards and it was very disturbing. Plus MoT is a fouling machine on defense.

    HillBoy,

I knew kelvin cato would be missed. but to once again prove my point, Juwan had 1 board in 20 minutes. Carl Herrera would have at least 5 boards, even Robert Horry..

There has to be a reason why Juwan is coming of the bench. Also credit Mo Taylor with some nice blocks in that game.

To be fair, our point guards suck too.

    Jack,

This is for all the clutch members who argued that Juwan is a GREAT PLAYER and averages 17pts 7 Boards a game. I argued that he has a history of helping his teams lose. He's not the power forward that I prefered to be on the Rockets with a rich history of hardworking PFs like Otis Thorpe, Carl Herrera, Barkley, Kato, etc..

My counter argument is WATCH HIM PLAY. So far Im right haters. Juwan stunk it up for us and it shouldnt surprise you.

As a true Rocket fan, I have my right to point out the weaknesses of our team so we can improve. Why would I feel sorry for Juwan? He loses all the time and gets paid millions, he's a walking LA CLIPPERS Franchise all in one.

Hey Jeff Van Gundy DIDNT START HIM. So I'm not the only who thinks he's just a scrub.

I'm waiting for someone to give me a REAL ARGUMENT against : 2 points 1 board in 20 minutes.

Not that I know exactly what your point is cause you certainly didn't make one in this thread, but...

Juwan certainly had a bad rebounding game. But if you're point is that JVG is starting Mo Taylor over Juwan because Mo is a better rebounder than you're crazy.

Also, moot point, but Juwan had 2 boards last night.

Yao shot 2-9 with 7 points while he is a career 15.4 points scorer and is expected to be closer to 20 this year.

Tracy shot 6-18 despite being a career 44.6% shooter and had only 2 boards and 1 assist despite averaging 6 and 4 in those categories for his career.

On the other hand, Ben Wallace was stroking 18 foot jumpers all night despite being well known as a horrible mid/long-range jump shooter.

On a game by game basis, stuff happens.

Check out the averages over a 1 month period, a 3 month period, a season, a career.

You may be right, but telling people to eat crow, essentially, after one bad game, especially if you can't even get the stat line correct, is stupid.

1 game and you say that...at least wait a week before you try and judge everyone on our team in a single game...come on now.

How many games NWO will it take for you? How many games did it take for you to realize that Shandon Anderson sucked, Scottie Pippen or Eddie Griffin or Moochie sucked...

How about 7 losing seasons with the Washington Wizards with Webber and Ben Wallace? How about Dallas dumping him after 1 season. How about 2 losing seasons with Denver?
How about tanking Orlando (year after they made the playoffs)?

    How many?

    Look Jay,
I hope he doesnt stink like he historically does. I also hoped the you and RKelly can make to Texas without fueding. But bad chemistry happens.
Maybe im a little harsh, but you haters deserve it for jumping on the Juwan train just because he averages 17pts a game. you haters need to do some research. History is an important subject. NBA read to achieve guys.

An REAL ARGUMENT against : 2 points 1 board in 20 minutes?!?!?! No way! That's falling right into YOUR ARGUMENT. There's no debating that *one fact.*. But I will ask you this. Will Howard score 2 PPG for 82 games?

one thing you are missing to see is the fact that no one on our team had a good game yesterday.

Only 3 players really shot well and made their shots last night and that was Nachbar (3/4), Mutumbo (2/3), and Ward (4/5). The rest of the team shot horrible just like Juwon. He only took 6 shot attempts making 1 of them which is not exceptable but then again we are playing the best defensive team in the league and defending champions.

I really think your jumping to conclusions really. I don't think Juwan had many real touches other than his 6 shots so what more do you expect from the guy in the first game.

Before you come out and knock on one player that is not having a good game why don't you check the box score and see how many other players had a really horrible day for the Rockets leading to our loss.

As DavidS stated, Juwan is not going to have many games like that and if he does then you can say something but after one game you can't really say anything or jjump to conclusions.

I guess your one of those people Tinman that if you have a fantasy team you drop your player after one bad game or pick up someone like Chris Mihm who had a bad ass game one day thinking he is really going to give you 20 and 12 each game....

Just give it some time before flaming all the players or in this case one of them.

I know he'll score more than 2 pts a game.

Im sorry, I guess it makes sense that we have Yao and Juwan.

Yao is from China which has the GREAT WALL OF CHINA.

We want to make Yao feel at home so we get Juwan
    [IMG]
who jacks up enough bricks to rebuild the GREAT WALL OF CHINA.
