Is Verlander going for 300 wins? He's 38 away right now. Why else would he continue playing? He has earned almost $400 million in salary alone... and his wife makes millions per year...

 

I can't imagine he wouldn't, he's almost certainly the last guy that will ever have a chance to do it. Would be a pretty cool thing to do.

 

Pretty wild that in my life I've seen 5 of the most dominant pitchers ever here in Houston: Richard, Ryan, Johnson, Clemens, Verlander

 

He'll be back before the trade deadline.

 

Scott was pretty dominant for a year, maybe a bit longer.
