Who cares this is weed we're talking about. If the stupid US government would just legalize it we wouldn't be having this talk. It's not like weed actually helps increase one's performance. If people ever got their head around the fact weed is no more "dangerous" than alcohol we could put this conversation behind us.

Here's an informed decision. The cops know what pot is. They found some on Reed. My informed decision is that he is guilty of misdemeanor possession of pot. He will plead no contests and get a small fine and some community service. Oh ya, WHO CARES, he has never worn Rockets red anyway an likely will not. The Rafer deal on the other hand allows for some restraint on passing judgement.
That's why you're not a judge (at least I hope you're not...). When I might have gotten caught with the ganja, of course the cops might have known what it was. They might have ended up dropping the charges because of an illegal search and seizure, and I might be countersuing the HDP for malicious prosecution right now. The point is, nothing is as cut and dry as you think, and more often than not you have no idea what you're talking about.
