I find these recent events with the law embearassing myself... Not mentioned in the article, sighting of Rockets camp invite Mike Harris before practice pumping his fist and breathing easier upon hearing the news
Yes, I make judgments about people all the time without waiting for a legal judgment - as do you and everyone else. Did you really have no opinion whatsoever about Michael Vick before he pled guilty? Do you have no opinion about Osama Bin Laden (hasn't been convicted of anything)? You don't make any judgments about someone who says something rude? After all, that person wasn't convicted of a crime, right? The only way you would fit the criteria you suggest is to have no opinions on anything, really.
Jeez, mention pot in a thread and count on R2K to come to somebody's defense. Dumb move on Reed's part. Someday perhaps he'll be rich enough to afford an entourage to hold his weed for him.
See what happens when JVG leaves. We are falling apart. Tomorrow Yao will probably get busted for dog fighting.
It is the opinion of many that, because professional atheletes are always in the spotlight, they cannot afford to be f$cking up like Alston and Reed have recently. To be perfectly honest, I wouldn't want my children idolizing these loosers and therefore do not particularly want anyone else's kids idolizing these (or any other) loosers. But if there has to be adolescents somewhere idolizing loosers such as Rafer Alston and Justin Reed let it be somewhere other than Houston before the whole town falls into decrepitude.
this situation is unfortunate and should not have happened but with everything that currently going on in the sports world recently, its a small infraction involving a little known player. no gambling, mafia, dog killing or felonies so i'm not ready to proclaim us the new jailblazers/bengals just yet. but these guys definitely need to stop getting arrested, that is a fact.
I laugh cause I keep thinking "Can they not give up Weed for millions of dollars" this might cost him a Zero in the next contract For Millions of dollars. . .can you not do weed for say 10 yrs? Rocket River
Decriminalize It. We should not get arrested for pot. Justin Weed probably had a blunt on him at the most.
are we the basketball version of the bengals? this is embarrassing. i don't care if it's a scrub on this team. rockets are full of character guys. thank god our 2 leaders are great individuals.
Well, I know MJ's getting old, but it's still good that one of our guys could own him, is it not? I just wasn't aware that dominating MJ was a criminal offense. No wonder he won 6 titles. Maybe the Texas delegation and a quasi-Texas President can get a similar law passed for T-Mac or Yao before the season.
It's strange to hear (or read) people talk about "doing" weed like its some kind of a drug or something...
The irritating thing is that it is guys like Rafer and Justin are getting arrested and having that hitting media outlets instead of Yao Ming and Tracy McGrady. I have no interest in considering trading the latter two, so I could care less about most PR, but other teams owners/GMs might care, particularly for more marginal/replacable talents we are trying to send to them. I have no pretense that I am looking at it as a humanist. In fact too bad Yao Ming didn't claim the weed was his and say he feels bad about tarnishing Justin reputation after how hard he has worked and how he is ready for a breakout year.
not a good look for justin reed's chances with the team. he did all right in limited minutes with the t wolves. i seen him get a couple of 20 point games here and there.
