Few things great happen in sudden shifts. Give it time and the pieces will unfold together.

Well, from the interview I heard of him, he was saying he didn't want to play "close to home" (SA, Dallas, Houston), because he didn't want to have to buy tickets for his friends, and have always all his people around to ask stuff. (that is literally what I heard him saying, which was kind of a shock to me).

If it comes down to 2 choices, either going to Houston or NY, I think he would choose NY.

However, if it goes down to a S&T, which I think it will because Toronto doesn't want to let him go for nothing if he says he wants out, Houston has WAY more assets to offer and he would be against a trade here.
I just think he wouldn't come deliberately to Texas if he could choose any team in the NBA.

I do remember him saying something very close to "I don't like Houston", and thats why i've been reluctant all this time to bring him in, since last year.
I think it was along the lines:"Next year when your an FA, teams such as bla bla bla will try to pursue you. Is Houston an option?", and he basically laughed and said it wasn't really an option for him.

I wouldn't take much stock in any comments made by anyone.

All of them are saying "I'm staying right where I am."

Also why would Bosh want to go to NYC over Texas? Bosh also said he doesn't really like cold weather...

It's easy for them to say now "I want to stay here for the rest of my career..." until they have to sign that new 5 year contract...and that's why none of these guys have signed yet. They've all been offered new deals and they are turning them down because I think most of them, maybe not Lebron and Joe Johnson, will test their options.

Well, I think that people tend to forget that its not because its your hometown that its the place you want to be right now or go to.
Like when people say Wade would go to Chicago easier because its where he was born. Thats bs, maybe he hates the place.

For all I know, Bosh spends his off-season in TORONTO, which means a bunch imo.

It would have been rad to get Amare this year. But everyone is right in knowing he has no desire to be in Houston.

I think Bosh doesn't want to go to Dallas because Dirk is already there. It's easier excuse to just say "I don't want to play in Texas."

Also players can play in a city and live in a entire different city. That's why I don't get when NYK fans say stuff like "Who wouldn't want to be a millionaire in New York?"

Well, i'm pretty sure at one point Garnett lives in LA and played in Boston. Garnett did not want to go to Boston, I forgot the reason but when the GM pitched the idea of a big 3, it was a done deal.

Can you imagine Morey pitching the idea to Amar'e or Bosh? Even if they for some reason despise Houston, Morey would make a good pitch to these guys.

"Quite simply...we're still young outside of Yao...this is one of the popular teams in the NBA...and you'd have a better chance winning a ring here RIGHT NOW than waiting for the Knicks to rebuild around you. This team is already built for you big fella, you are the missing piece."

If these guys want to win AND get paid at the same time, I don't see them passing us up. The only threat is NYK getting Lebron and then signing one of them to go along.

I can see the possibilities of a Dirk for Bosh swap.

I agree with you on this one. Its a business in the end.

However, I wouldn't want a guy who is forced to come here and doesn't like the team or the city.
However, if i'm not mistaken, the player needs to agree to the S&T, not like a trade where he has nothing to say (unless no-trade clause in his contract).

So, if a S&T was to be done, the player would want to come here.

I don't think Bosh is worth a Max contract when Scola is more than capable of getting the job done. That being said, im pretty sure Bosh would want to play in Texas considering he's from Dallas...maybe im wrong, i just dont see how someone would say he doesn't want to play in Texas when 1) All 3 teams are either good, or are heading in that direction & 2) he's from Texas

In regards to Bosh wanting or not wanting to play in Texas due to him growing up there. I can say a lot of people just flat out do not want to go back to where they grew up....why?.....you leave for a reason. Bad experiences/memories maybe...or you just don't like the culture? Not to say of course that this is the situation with him.

we all should thank amare for not wanting to commit and stopped this trade. it would be bad if we sign him to a long term contract.

    1. The guy says he doesn't want to play close to home. Don't hate on that fact, he has his reasons, probably wants to travel and get out of freakin Texas.

    2. He clearly stated in a BUNCH of articles that he was no second fiddle and wanted teams to build around him and make him the #1 option, and that he wouldn't be a sidekick to any player. So, who's the #1? Yao or Bosh?

    3. Bosh wants to be a superstar, an actor and get media coverage. He's been trying to make show of him for a while, has tried to be funny and has often made videos of him. Furthermore, he's making a movie of himself.
The guy wants the bright lights of the city. LA or NY is perfect for that.

    4. When you think of Houston, you think of Yao. When you think of NY, you think of no-one, he wants to be that guy, the star.

When its all said and done, he'll either stay in Toronto or leave through a S&T.
I doubt he'll go deliberately to NY or any other team.

    1. I guess you could consider Dallas being close to Houston, but not close enough that every game his friends would be blowing him up for tickets.

    2. There's no guarantee that Yao comes back healthy, even if he is, Adelman will prob cut his minutes back.

3 & 4. If he wants the bright lights and be on a terrible team, have fun in NY...why would he go to NY and be the "go-to" guy that never wins, when he could come here and be on a legit Championship contender...and be the 1st or 2nd option??

If they believe that then they are idiots. And really they don't if these "sources" are right (not saying they are) because it was Morey wanting Stoudemire for those two players but unwilling to do it because Stoudemire wouldn't commit longterm.

You really think The Raptors are going to do a sign and trade for Battier and Scola? Scola will fetch at least $7 Million next season and it would not surprise me to see some team offer up to $8.2. The Raptors would be better off letting Bosh go and signing a free agent that actually wants to play there, if that player exists.

The thing is, you can't trust the word on the street. Morey is the guy who told everyone that they wanted to run all these tests on Landry's knee before they would re-sign him, thus damaging his value:

And then after they signed him said something totally different:

Yes they are idiots because you are much smarter than Morey and his staff. You seem to completely trust the word on the streets that the big time free agents are going to leave their respective teams without a sign and trade.
If Bosh wants to leverage NY's cap space and demand Tor to do a sign and trade to Houston, we still have the same assets we had when we entertained the idea of getting Amare.

He states the same thing that I have said before about Amare. Wouldn't commit to more than the rest of the season if he were traded to Houston...

    Translation...The Rockets done ****ed up.
