It's not a big deal -- the only reason we were even still talking about it is because you guys can't even concede a point you likely agree with. The "wasn't going to be Adelman's team" excuse is lame -- RA went to Morey and tried hard to find a way to return to the Rockets, so obviously he had some thoughts about the Rockets 2012 season.

Hill and Thabeet should have seen more minutes than Brad Miller in the last few games. There shouldn't be an Adelman justification to this; we should all pretty much agree on it. Is it a big negative on Adelman's record? Of course not, but it is perhaps an example of the divide between the coach and front office.

Another might be when Daryl went to Rick to "talk" to him about playing Jordan Hill more after the GSW and Denver games to open the season. Daryl likes to say he'll never tell a coach who to play, but that might not be entirely accurate -- Jordan Hill played a total of 3 minutes in the first three games. After their talk, he averaged 25+ minutes per game over the next three games. Either Daryl told him to start playing Hill or Morey was so convincing that Rick moved Jordan Hill from DNP-CD to getting the most minutes of any big off the bench.

    LOL. Richard Justice

On May 4th he said it's down to the final two candidates and we'll know within a week. On May 21st we still have no head coach and we are down to three.

These are two separate scenarios, a high level coach would bench the guy getting 2-12 on a nightly basis simply because Brooks was literally losing games. OTH, playing Brad Miller has almost zero impact on winning games, I'm not sure anyone can even argue that drastically reducing the mins Brad Miller got for Thabeet and Hill would cause our performance to dip at all.

Brooks wasn't just suffering from a shooting slump, his playmaking and defensive intensity had regressed incredibly as well. RA should have benched his ass, allowed his body to recover and then worked with him after the game and on off days. Thabeet's pt has zero relation to Brooks, they don't even play the same position. Rather, the minutes AB should have gone to T-will and more importantly Courtney Lee, who had been playing at a high level all season and deserved more PT. Look at how the THunder coach went with the hot hand instead of the "established" player, that's how high level coaches manage their rotations instead of creating fixed lineups and minute distribution before the game starts.

That's because Adelman's so badass that even with a roster of scrubs he can make a run for the playoffs and end up with the worse draft position
