He has become wealthy from all the millions in "gifts" he has received from wealthy right wing "donors" while pushing a completely right wing agenda on the bench, and his wife was an active participant in the plot to overturn the 2002 election and he complains. And here he is whining about how mean his critics are. Has there ever been a more pathetic supreme court justice?

The most underreported story of the past few decades. The proof of capture of the final healthy arm of US government that had remained relatively minimally politicized in the past several decades. Was really sad to hear about that and god knows what they've successfully hidden.

Judicial, executive, legislative all significantly captured by various lobbyists. A very dark and depressing time for democracy and free expression to be honest but that's life I guess, another country will pick up the slack.

The new John Robert guideline from 2023 (this is real) states: "A Justice should disqualify himself or herself in a proceeding in which the Justice’s impartiality might reasonably be questioned, that is, where an unbiased and reasonable person who is aware of all relevant circumstances would doubt that the Justice could fairly discharge his or her duties."

I don't think an unbiased and reasonable person would think $4 MILLION in gifts impacts the Justice's impartiality.

 

How does somebody understand and interpret laws, but cant comprehend instructions?
