I'm imagining a timeline where Dems win the House, Senate, and Presidency, impeach Thomas... and then Republicans win it all back and impeach every liberal justice just because they can and then blame Dems for it.

Because, you know, that's how abusive relationships work.

We didn't. That's why its news, emphasis on "new".

There was a Justice died the day before Valentines Day.... on a heart shaped pillow.... in a private resort, with his wife hundreds of miles away.... the county Judge declared that he died of natural causes, even though there was never an autopsy and viewing by a medical examiner or coroner... and then his family declined an examination and he was buried. There was a lack of any marshal support there as well.... there isn't even really a complete or credible accounting of who was there with this Justice.

The point being that a number of Justices have done some questionable things and had questionable relationships over the last 200 years.... it isn't unique to Thomas and the Court has historically just looked the other way.

 

I get that but that doesn't answer my question. I'm asking how Thomas has been corrupted by donors

 

When you were in finance you had to fill out conflicts of interest forms. Probably multiple times a year. A judge taking donations from a political group is just as unethical as a banker taking a donation from a businessman. Disclosure in these cases greatly reduces the ethical implications. In this case we find out through a private investigation.
