Justice Clarence Thomas has secretly accepted luxury trips from a major Republican donors

This has been known for quite awhile and several other justices have accepted such perks from well connected political players also. Let’s not forget too they Clarence Thomas’ wife is a major activist and his son has worked in several GOP campaigns.

The USSC police’s itself and the justices have no willingness to do anything serious about it.

 

Thomas drives around the country with his wife in an RV. Most people don't even realize who he is.

It also notes that the justices spoke at expensive fundraisers and flew i private jets.

I agree though that Thomas appears to be the worst for accepting such perks.

Given this news, I think you have to throw out all of hit votes for his term. If a judge has been taking money / gifts he clearly isn't unbiased and all his ruling should be null and void. He should be impeached immediately. This is a massive scandal

Lawyers yearly have to take continuing legal education training including professional ethics to retain their bar membership, right?

These USSC justices should having a casual understanding of legal/judicial ethics. These justices should know without a doubt that accepting gifts can not be done.

Every vote that Thomas gave that favored one of his benefactors casts doubt. If retroactively the Thomas's votes that appear to be ethically challenged were removed as if Thomas recused himself, how many 5-4 decisions fall?
