Just when you thought the Real World couldn't sink lower

The line between girls gone wild and the real world is blurring. They all know the camera is there and are performing for it.

You forgot one other thing...the kids of today will never know that the "M" in Mtv stands for music.

 

I don't think it's scripted per se... but the "cast members" know exactly what they're being paid to do: create sexy drama.

I watched the first couple of seasons and gave up after the producers went crazy trying to find the next Puck. Once I was watching entire casts with maturity levels 10 years behind mine, and endless gimmicks (everyone will form a business together!) that increased the gap between them and the real real world.....forget it.

Chapelle's Mad Real World was one of my fav skits he ever did. Chad!

MTV is complete trash, period. And I hate how on all of their shows they push the whole homosexual/bisexual thing really hard. If I was a parent I would block the channel altogether without a doubt.

 

As more and more reality tv stars admit that there shows are scripted (at least in part) and that they do multiple takes, I'm not sure how anyone still buys into this stuff being legit.

 

In ten years when MTV is still coming out with new Real World seasons, people will be saying that it went bad in 2014 when they let the trannies in. I was poor growing up so I never got a chance to watch it when they supposedly showed music more than ass, so to me, MTV has always sucked and it's always been run by the devil.

Wouldn't it be nice if MTV and VH1 got back to actually showing music programming.

But then why mess with whats working, because no matter how much people complain about the crap they put on those networks and how irrelevant it is to actual music, lots of people still watch.

What does it say when MTV would rather show reruns of America's Next Top Model instead of showing actual music videos, or related programming?

Anybody remember 12 Angry Viewers? That was a halfway decent show, and it centered on music videos...what a novel idea.

 

Greg went from acting like he had swag to catching feelings when his girl played him. Can't believe he believed that lie she told smh.

I'm 20 and shouldn't care for problems like this but I do because it's degrading and bothers me.

Shows like Flavor Flav or w/e and I love New York and ... Tila. When I see a few minutes of these shows, I think about becoming a hitman. I really do think they've no place in society. It's insulting and I wouldn't find if they died a horrible death. It ruins all these young minds, really.

We've lost a huge number of great minds due to society's ignorance!

 

Meh, I don't think that's homophobic. If your kid is sitting there watching Dudes kiss on MTV he's going to think about it. Surroundings make up a big part of someone's life....

 

You've gotta be effin kiddin me, or you just don't watch these shows. Everything that MTV pushes upon on our youth about homosexuality and bisexuality is complete TRASH. You want your kids watching Tila Tequila pondering over whether to choose to go with a guy or a girl, all while having sex with both?? And don't even get me started about that Real World BS.

If that makes me a homophobe, then I'll GLADLY claim the title. MTV is a corrupting influence on the lives of many of our youth.
