i know it was yesterday, but the cheapest i saw was at chimney rock and westhiemer on the NW corner for $2.51 regular. i think the NW side of town has the cheapest stuff.
you're absolutely right about the 2.51 thing and being in the northwest. In Katy, I filled up last night at 2.53 and 2.50 with the Randall's discount.
Yo, DaGlyde... what HEB was that? I am talking about the Randall's on Morton and Fry Rd. Besides, I think Randall's has quality stuff... I mean, are we even considering what sort of stuff we're putting in our tanks? Are all gasolines the same? Chevron's animated cars don't think so.
Speculation entails bidding up prices with the express intent of hoping to find a sucker somewhere down the road to buy from you at an even higher and more ludicrous price. Companies, nations, and people are generally buying oil at ever-increasing prices out of the necessity to use and burn it up. Not just out of hopes that they can swindle it to the Inuit and Bulgarians for a hefty $124/barrel in 6 months. It's already bad enough that Forbes trash publication is pathetically inaccurate and just plain incorrect year after year when he puts out his 'wealthiest' lists. But then to label crude as being in a bubble and at the same time all but ignore the real bubbles staring him in his poltergeist face, such as debt and housing, is disingenuous to say the least. This all being said, I hope crude does go to $35/barrel
gas prices suck. but with what's going on just east of here...remember to be thankful if that's the extent of your worries.
