From my main man, Steve Forbes ----- http://biz.yahoo.com/ap/050829/australia_forbes_oil.html?.v=1 Publisher Steve Forbes Says He Expects Oil Price to Dip As Low As $35 Within a Year SYDNEY, Australia (AP) -- Steve Forbes, the American publishing executive, said Tuesday he expects the price of oil to fall as low as US$35 a barrel within a year, blaming the current price spike largely on speculation. Forbes, in Sydney for a conference of global business leaders sponsored by his organization, said that U.S. inflation was helping fuel the rise "and the rest of it is a sheer bubble of speculation." "I think in 12 months we are going to see oil down to US$35, US$40 a barrel," he said. As Hurricane Katrina lashed the U.S. Gulf Coast on Monday, oil hit US$70.80 a barrel, before retreating. "It is a huge bubble, I don't know what's going to pop, but eventually it will pop," Forbes said of the oil price.
We need pictures, man. And make sure you get "Richmond and Chimney Rock" street signs, plus Taco Cabana and/or Jack In The Box on the background...
F@#$ me. And we are in Iraq and Afgananistan for what now? I have no qualms about just taking the oil for Americans. We went in there and now we have to buy the S*&$? Ugh. I'm off to buy a bike.
Man most of you are acting like filling up your tanks will prevent you from having to buy gas for years to come. I believe if you fill up your tank and gas hits $3 a gallon then there is a good chance you'll end up paying for $3 a gallon gas sometime anyway. By the way yesterday and the past 2 weeks gas in my town has been $2.54/gallon. This morning it rose to $2.59/gallon. I'll post what it is when I leave work too.
I filled up this AM in Pasadena, CA. I paid $2.93 for 87. I plan on buying a hybrid or a natural gas vehicle at the end of the year to use for my work commute. (32 miles each way).
