yes. damn tom delay for not giving us money for mass transit. if the democrats still fail to capitalize on these ridiculous gas prices there really should be a viable third party.
They need to make a car that runs on lust. We would have no problems after that. (imagining certain male bbs members taping pictures of their favorite ladies to their dashboards to gain power...)
Spot on, Isabel! I think my car would get about 20,000 miles per gallon, were that the case. I don't need any photos on the dash, however... my "inner eye" is quite up to the task.
Lol, that's the most crazy thing I've ever read! Too funny Isabel, I can't believe you wrote that. That is an instant classic, Best Post of the year. Where did that awards thread go? I wanna change my vote.....
No, no, you could only use lust in short bursts like nitro for passing ~ otherwise you would blow your engine in no time.
Well England happen to have one of the best mass transit systems in the world. When I lived in Germany, I hadly had any need to drive since using the bus and train system was easier, quicker and cheap among other things. Folks then only drove to clubs or road trips or similar but for everyday needs, mass transit route was the way to go. If we have the same system in Houston or in Texas, most of us would not even bat an eye even if gas price reach $4 or $5. Perspective.
I'm fine with public transportation in terms of getting to work (or living in a town like this one, with no buses but everything pretty close together). The thing is, I want to be able to take road trips and go see people in other cities on weekends. That's where it will really hit me. I don't want to be stuck in one place all the time.
$2.44 at Sam's and Costco today in Plano. Racetrack up to $2.79... I hear $3.00 by 8/31/2005.... Glad we bought the Aveo for my wife to commute (but looking into hybrids now)... and glad I have the mini-van with best MPG (Astro) in it's class (source gov't web site). I did notice this summer while on road trips that a lot of older truck stops do not have room for the any number bigger than a "1" on the left side of the decimal point where the price is displayed. The never foresaw anything over 1.99 I guess. Signs all over just had "_.22" or the like.
Who makes the best hybrid? I am going to save up in college and lease one once I am done with undergrad.
I saw this MO'FO' driving down the KATY yesterday right past 45 (by Taylor St.) with one of these: And this dude had the audacity to add white letters with stickers on the back of his motor vehicle that spelled out: 45 MILES PER GALLON (CITY) WTF do you need to brag? My corolla gets 35, f*ck*r!!!
Are you saying there isn't any public transportation where you live, or you are speaking of public transportation for people who don't have any? I use it. I would use it even if I had to switch buses. (EDIT) BTW: http://www.fueleconomy.gov/feg/bestworst.shtml has the government ratings for Fuel Efficiency.
