I would love to believe that will happen. But I keep seeing some Nigerian in the picture. Unless we gets one of those, I am a realistic and humble servant of my Rockets.
Once again, agree with you 100% I remember a 47-35 team with an impossible playoff schedule...I remember them everytime I go to a game and see the 95 banner IT'S NOT OVER. We just need to move the ball and make open shots and defend GO ROX
This year's, and last year's, Rockets have gone above and beyond my expectation, so whatever the outcome will be, they can hold their heads high, all true Rockets fans should be proud of them. As for last night's game, Brooks again went back to his old self, became hesitating on offense. Yes, the Lakers packed the paint, played a half zone defense, but you have to force them into the real zone to open up the outside shooters. Brooks was floating around perimeter, allow the other Lakers stay close enough to other Rockets, and their length & athleticism allowed them to close-in on the shooters. Worse, after most of first half, Aaron basically gave up on penetration, allowed the Lakers to change back to man-on-man. Artest forced issues most of the game, but I don't think there was much else he could do, no one could create when Aaron decided to stay on the perimeter. The Lakers just had too much size over the Rockets, when they decided to pound the ball inside, it's evident that the Rockets would be wore out, had a long night.
Chuck's second foul was TRASH. I broke my remote against the wall when that bs was called. He was just STANDING THERE. It's almost as if, Phil went to the refs and said, "Hey, our gameplan is to get Hayes in foul trouble, because he really messes up the flow of our offense."
I'm still proud of this team no matter what happens, i cursed last night about the way they played, there is no covering the harsh reality that they were just an utter mess last night. I think it's one thing to criticize the team and be dissapointed, it's another to say "trade so and so, blow this team up, start over, this team sucks" and i'm just dissapointed by their effort yesterday, I feel like they made way too many careless passes and missed wide open shots in the 1st and it just went down hill from there...well i'm still going to game 6 and will cheer them on. But I do want to stay realistic, this Laker team > (rockets - yao - tmac - deke), it will be a miracle if we end up winning this series.
Speak for yourself. We're the battle-hardened sports-fan vets of Houston - not the glam take-everything-for-granted LA fans. We're not shocked, we're just going to keep cheering anyways.
Till the end... They must NOT resort to jumpshooting. They MUST attack the basket. They must NOT float the ball half way across the court because they will get picked off. They MUST make their free-throws. They MUST leave it all on the court come Thursday. LETS GO RED.
The odds are Rox will lose the series. We all know that, but miracles do happen so I'm not giving up yet. Anything can still happen. However, If lakers make it out of this, they will have to thank Rox for giving them an early wake up call that is for sure. Unlike last year when they cruised thru and got spanked by the Celtics.
Agreed. Sharp, crisp passes... Good positioning and spacing... Hard drives to the basket... Open shots and good looks... 2 W's Kenny style!
Just remember this, too: The Rockets are one of just six teams still competing for the championship. Even better, we may be one of just five by the time the game tips off tomorrow. I believe we're going to extend this party tomorrow, but whatever happens I'm proud to be a fan of this team.
3:23 mark... "They're not gonna give it to us... We've gotta go out there and TAKE IT! TAKE IT!!" <object width="425" height="344"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/O47D9S6biBQ&hl=en&fs=1"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/O47D9S6biBQ&hl=en&fs=1" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="425" height="344"></embed></object>
the whole world thought we would maybe win one at home. and game 1???? nobody expected that. then to top it off game4 was even more of a shocker.
I'll never give up on this team. I have all the hope in the world we can beat LA. We've already proved we can whoop them by 30 points without Yao and Tracy. Why couldnt we do it again? And then again after that and advance to the conference finals! Let go Rockets!
Our Off Plan.. Ron Attacks the basket Lowry Attacks the basket Scola Attacks the basket Von Attacks the basket AB,Barry,Shane shoot the threes Once our shots is falling....our defense is set and no more counter attack happens
