yao's a nice guy and he has a generally calm demeanor, but he's a large man. i'm glad he doesn't retaliate because i think he can beat some ass if he wants to.
    collison is a lucky dude.

I felt so lucky for Yao this time that he's able to get up and punished them the gentlemen way. Will he be so lucky next time he got a hard foul like that? I don't know! But message has to be sent either by Yao himself, the Rox organization or the league period.

I have been saying this for years, but my dream is a little different. Something like tonight happens but instead of punch Yao Ming drops into a badass Kung Fu stance and screams.

How many game suspension is that?

Oh.. ho my god.. brings tears to my eyes...

Have ya'll seen Yao's legs? 1 roundhouse kick could kill you.

Seriously though, what makes Yao who he is is his decency as a person.

Definitely rest of the season and I won't be surprised if Stern denies Yao the first round as well.

Wow, that was an NFL tackle on Yao but instead of grass abosrbing the impact, Yao had a stiff wooden floor to absorb that tackle.

That should be an automatic suspension on Collison ... if the NBA wants to crack down on the fighting. How can you not fight back after what Collison did?

Forgot to mention I was at the game live. From the live viewpoint, the impact when Yao hit the ground should have caused at least a sprain, if not something more severe. Yao was grimacing in pain severely like when he cracked his knee in the Clippers game ... I don't know if the television replay showed the seriousness of the incident but I was in complete shock at the game.

That is stupid. Why have Yao get suspended because you want to see a fight?

Whoops, I managed to mix up when reading your sentence. For a kung fu stance, Collison goes to into shock and Yao receives a Black belt.

I'm glad he didn't retaliate. Can't afford a Melo-esque suspension, esp this time of year. I just want Yao to pick up some vicious offensive flagrant fouls by violently swinging his elbows on a post move when he starts getting hacked and the refs don't call anything. Make them think if it's really worth it to lose some teeth over a game. T-Mac did the right thing, except I wish he shoved him in his face(something like what Garnett did Duncan in 99)

Pound for pound, I think Jerry Stackhouse is the baddest dude in the NBA. IIRC he decked our own Kirk Snyder in a fight after a game a few years ago.

what happened to Bradley in the video is most likely what Yao would end up with if he gets involved in a fight! I don't want to see Yao get owned like that.

With the ridiculous suspensions that are handed out for fighting by the Stern dictatorship, I don't want any Rockets getting in fights. Pre-Detroit/Indiana, a fight might be worth a two or three game suspension. But when Carmelo Anthony gets 25 games (IIRC) for landing one punch, it's just not worth it.

I recall how freaked out and scared the Lakers were of his game in 1986.

I don't want to see Yao in a fight, but I definitely want to see him respond by knocking some people over in the paint, going hard to the basket. He's so big, if he used his body the right way, he would send some people flying. It would be good if he got it into his head to do this once or twice a game every time the fouls against him are particularly bad. That would send a message.
