<s>Haha! Sucker!</s> What else did you have <s>in here</s> in the wallet that you lost? Er, sad to hear. Where, exactly, did you "lose it"?
Well, sometimes you know where you lost it, but still can't find it. I thankfully have never really lost my wallet. I imagine it would suck.
Cool story: A few years ago, my mom's purse was stolen out of her car while her and my dad were at a dealership looking at cars. My mom cancelled cards immediately, and other than the $25 that was stolen, she was most upset at the actual purse itself. My dad, being the great man he is, spend the next 8 hours scouring every dumpster in the immediate area all the way till 2am in the morning. My brother and I told him he was wasting his time, that it was like trying to find a needle in a haystack. Lo and behold, my old man found it at an Exxon station about 5 miles from where the purse was stolen. He said, in all, he had searched about 37 dumpsters. Amazing.
After looking in both your hands and all your pockets, re track your steps. Try to remember where you were.
I lost my wallet 3 times before patting myself down whenever I leave became a habit. Half of it had to do with these shorts I had that would allow my wallet to fall out whenever I sat down. I haven't burned them yet but thats a good way to avoid future complications. In terms of now, don't sweat it too much. Cancel your cards and get a new license.
Loosing your wallet sucks, has happened to me I feel you OP . But too bad when you loose your wallet you wish you had something like this, but when you have your wallet you would not think to get one.

What did you have in your wallet besides Cards and your license? I've lost my wallet before but it wasn't that big of a deal. Aside from my celebrity autographed dollar bills, I didn't lose anything I couldn't get replaced.
