Not too arrogant and cocky now. <blockquote class="twitter-tweet" data-lang="en"><p lang="en" dir="ltr">Stephen Curry and Klay Thompson dejected at their lockers after their Game 7 loss (via <a href="https://twitter.com/stewardsfolly">@stewardsfolly</a>). <a href="https://t.co/gliOmRp6Xs">pic.twitter.com/gliOmRp6Xs</a></p>— RealGM (@RealGM) <a href="https://twitter.com/RealGM/status/744728565573312512">June 20, 2016</a></blockquote> <script async src="//platform.twitter.com/widgets.js" charset="utf-8"></script>
Maybe he can stop prancing around with his mouth piece out and resume playing while being content to being an ordinary ALL Star who shoots very well most of the time. Forget the unanimous MVP bs.
Um. Tracy McGrady had better numbers during his 1st round series as a Rocket than Curry's 2016 Playoffs. Curry's playoff performance was not exactly a high bar.
I didn't have much of a problem w/ Curry. Draymond's dirty plays and the arrogance of him and Kerr thinking they were instead victims of bad calls was ridiculous. Ayesha's stupid tweets, Thompson's childish 'It's a man's game' and his father saying Lebron couldn't cut it back then (FYI if Lebron can't, NO ONE can from today) showed how entitled the team had become after having everything go their way and everyone putting them up on a pedestal. I think they all played a big part in everyone turning on them. They got what they deserved.
I don't have any problem with Draymond Green or Kerr either. They're just doing what they're able to get away with, which is strategically smart. It's up to the league to be more consistent in their referee'ing and doling out of fines. Anyways, it will be interesting to watch how GSW responds next season. They're going to be on a mission to redeem themselves.
One tries on defense, one doesn't try and yet they're both equally ineffective. Rather have the guy that can turn it up when needed than the guy that literally cannot guard.
Effort is huge. Your best player has to try. That falls down the line to the other players. You don't have to be great defensively (many great players weren't) but you need to show effort. I don't know how people can still defend Harden when he clearly didn't exert effort at all. And even when Harden tries, it's not like he's all-nba either. Curry isn't a great defender, but you can see he tries. Effort is a huge part in defense. Sucks he has to be destroyed by guys like WB or Kyrie, but those guys grilled Klay Thompson too, an elite defender. But please, Harden isn't in the convo with guys like Curry/Durant/WB (Lebron is on another level). Those guys operate on a different plane.
