nah never, these things work there way out in the end.. in 2010 i was upset we won a meaningless game to end of the season which cost us i believe 3-5 draft spots. i wanted to desperately draft patrick peterson. well we ended up with the 11th pick and drafted this guy named jj watt.. drafting early seems to only increase the chances to mess it up..
You start by hiring better talent evaluators and a GM that has the balls to cut his losses before it plagues an entire organization. As far as what we need to fix currently, in order of most important QB O-Line ILB OLB FS CB RB K As far as what we need to draft and where, you'd have me going: 1st RD - QB 2nd RD - RT/OLB 3rd RD - OLB/RT 4th RD - DB 5th RD - DB 6th RD - RB 7th RD - DE/K
you can't just draft DBs in the 4th round on and expect them to be difference makers. We desperately need a legit safety and secondary. Provided our scheme stays the same, Wade's just gonna continue blitzing and leaving man coverage to get burned all day long next year. I think Case is good enough to win with. He has the tools. Quick release, arm strength, mobility. The only thing that is yet to be seen is can he make good decisions. Hopefully the rest of the season sheds light on that. I feel like our o-line is going to be a lot better when Foster comes back next year. I'd take BPA with the 1st round, but prioritize safety. Depending on our draft position I may even trade back to a team needing a QB so we can get Clinton-Dix with a later 1st round pick and extra picks in the 2nd or 3rd.
