Didn't George Karl already proclaim Harden as the 2nd best offensive player behind Durant and ahead of Carmelo? All that's missing is his defense. He already plays a high efficiency offensive game, hard to see how diversifying to less efficient plays will help.
Needs to work on his turnovers and defense. Other then that I don't really see anything else he really needs brushing up on. Maybe get that 3 pointer back to his usual average as well.
If he can learn to trust his teammates and not try to do too much at times and work on his overall game, specifically his defense,....the sky's the limit for him.
He will likely be neutralized in the playoffs where touch fouls will be non-existent. Defensively tho cough cough.
Nope, you are wrong. Right now Harden is better than Roy ever was. Did I say that Harden was a similar athlete to Wade? No I didn't ... However in terms of impact, that is his upside.. He will never be in the James, Kobe, Durant group, but he can be in the group right beneath them.
He is basically Paul Pierce. Probably not good enough to win by himself ala dream but you add a KG and Ray Allen and you are a perennial contender.
I liked what Doc.River has said: Harden remind him of Paul Pierce in his prime with the Celtic. he seems slow, not in excellent shape, but he can beat anybody over &over.
Who knows? He is still so young and his role in a team have been ever changing. He goes from 6th man to carrying a team to playing with a dominant big man. In less than 2 years.
