This phone has restored my faith in technology. I can't believe how simple it is. I am actually going to set this phone up to be my computer with a das keyboard and Chromecast and using the Google Assistant for my replacement mouse, and droidvim: vim is the main Linux program that I use. One device to rule them all. The Google Assistant is so fast that I don't have to pause. From going from Samsung to this is unreal: Samsung is the most complicated frustrating piece of tech I've ever used. Who's with me?
It sucks. Even my friends that are on Google team working on pixel dont use it for the non-work phone. It is on the 4th iteration and they still have not fixed the mic problem from the original Pixel (a very common problem that strikes any Pixel suddenly. Pixel hardware is trash. It's only saving grace is the photography software. After using and suffering through Pixel I ended up getting a Huawei P30 pro. Now that is a phone to rave about!
I love it for the functionality and the integration. Does it have the greatest processor, or thinless bezels, or any of that. No. But it probably wasn't made for you. But the best Android integration is the Pixel 4, don't listen to the naysayers. Google: Pixel 4 underrated.
I love the Pixel 4. It is a great phone. also you better hurry if you want the $300 discount that Google is offering right now. And the Google Assistant will blow your mind it's so fast.
No it isnt. I have used the Pixel for over a year and a half and myself, along with my friends who are actually Engineers at Google, working on the Pixel itself, will tell you that. But keep telling yourself that lol. Just pray your mic doesnt go dead one day like it has for so many others because no one is going to hear you on the other end when it does. Google's hardware is not only low on specs but also low on quality.
I'm deeply in love with my Ultra. The pictures are freaking wild amazing and I love the larger screen and high refresh rate.
lol at you not knowing how to read. You do realize they have been using the same mic hardware right, which is why the mic issues has carried over to all the iterations (which I have already mentioned). https://support.google.com/pixelphone/thread/21872845?hl=en Pixel 4 XL microphone problems during call 11 Replies In the past week I've noticed an issue getting progressively worse with time to the point that my microphone won't work during a call. I will have to switch over to speakerphone to use my phone. I've noticed that during both non-speakerphone and speakerphone calls that applying gentle pressure to the screen produces a clicking/crackling sound that can be heard on the receiving individual's end. When in a non-speakerphone call, this clicking/crackling can also be heard through the earpiece. The phone was taken to a ubreakifix and they replaced all 3 of the microphones, however, the issue still persists. They reached out to their help desk and to Google. They were informed that the phone will have to be sent back to Google for repair or replacement as they will not let ubreakifix replace the motherboard for whatever crazy reason? This is very disconcerting as I won't have a phone for who knows how long. I'm worried the OG Pixel microphone issues are coming back to haunt some of us.
