I was impressed by Gaines as well, Zimmerman looked good too and Mutombo played some solid D. Can't wait for the game tomorrow. i took some pics too
Here are a few of my pics. I think the power dancer in the middle got a boob job... <img src= "http://us.f1.yahoofs.com/bc/34962bd2/bc/Rockets/Team.jpg?BCQ0JaBB3puxvufQ" > <img src= "http://us.f1.yahoofs.com/bc/34962bd2/bc/Rockets/Tipoff.jpg?BCQ0JaBB5_weic1Y" > <img src= "http://us.f1.yahoofs.com/bc/34962bd2/bc/Rockets/Tmac1.jpg?BCAHKaBBMwAkRNnb" > <img src= "http://us.f1.yahoofs.com/bc/34962bd2/bc/Rockets/Yao.jpg?BCAHKaBBhlqryNoL" > <img src= "http://us.f1.yahoofs.com/bc/34962bd2/bc/Rockets/powerdancers.jpg?BCAHKaBBkdaMbB2b" >
I went as well... - Reece Gaines looked to be a legit NBA player with solid playmaking skills and a nice touch on his mid-range J - Boki hit a nice 3 off a dribble-backup and then looked back to Yao on the bench w/ a gleaming smile....his play still appeared inconsistent, however - Mo looked in shape and in rhythm on offense; Howard was active on the boards and ran well in transition - Lue looked like a heady player out there and should be a fine backup for us; Ward looked a step slow on D but his J is still textbook and he was constantly directing traffic by telling teammates where to go on the floor - Mutombo was hilarious....waving his finger and joking around w/ fans courtside during freethrows.....i counted 3 blocks from him and 2 shot alterations - Weatherspoon was not there i believe - Padgett missed all his shots and Bowen didn't take any - Zimmerman has ups but can't buy a bucket from outside - JJ was his usual solid self....had a nice baseline drive......it's possible he has been made Captain, as he was the only player to welcome the crowd on the PA system prior to the game beginning - Yao didn't play many minutes, but did make a couple of nice turnaround jumpers, though i would like to see him get deeper position than he was getting against Mutombo - TMac seemed to be just going thru the motions.....did have a nice alleyoop and transition bucket
One says 2-3, the other 8-9. I'm somewhere in the middle on this one. I'm going with 6-7, with probably 1 or 2 MVP caliber seasons in his late 20's.
Anyone else have an erection while watching that new power dancer??? She needs to make a p*rn with different NBA players that come to town... She is that fine...
Ok, for some reason I can't see those pictures. At first, I was like, oh well, its only a couple of pictures, boo hoo. But after all the erection and p*rn talk my curiosity bone...."bone"..... has been stricken. Some one repost them please.
Just to elaborate a little on my earlier point. There was about a two month stretch last year where Yao was dominating, by playing his game of turnarounds j's and jump hooks. I think it's only his stamina that holds him back from doing that a full season. And having added strength will help Yao out in many ways even without the bulldozing power game ala Shaq. It will allow Yao to handle contact better, get better position, and get pushed around less in traffic. And I think the point that maybe Yao didn't go all out during an open practice is a good one. I definitely think a power game is in the guy, he showed a willingness to drop the shoulder last year, which often got called for a foul. (While Shaq gets a pass for that stuff all the time ) And with more strength, maybe Yao won't need to dip his shoulder as much and can try to develop a power game without having to sit on the bench afterwards.
Nope, Spoon was 100% there. I don't remember him playing either though, but I saw him signing autographs at the bottom of 109 (with Mo) - and he was sweaty, so I assume he played.
I notice the black practice unis; is this a precursor to a predominantly black third 'HOUSTON' uni? If so, I like it better without that shiny shimmer crap.
Hey glad_ken, could you e-mail me the pics you tried to post here man? Because they did not show. e-mail me at: tigermission1@juno.com Thanks
