http://www.comingsoon.net/news/movienews.php?id=19560 So imagine all those slicing and dicing effects when those spartans killed those persians... but this time with zombies! I can't wait!
I loved the movie. The visuals were awesome. The queen was totally hot. I saw it with people at my job. I then took my 12 year old nephew and he loved it. Next I'm taking my son to see it. It is one of the best big screen movies I've seen in a while. Did I mention that the queen was totally freakin hot - Gorgolicious.
Yes, and this movie is drawing out the homosexual community to attend it in record numbers. I guess there is something for everyone in this movie. I thought it was great. It was a blast to watch, pure entertainment, and while there are definitely historical inaccuracies, it shouldn't be a surprise to find those kinds of inaccuracies in a movie.
Is the blood going to disappear into thin air in this one, as well? swilkins, you forgot to mention that the queen was HOT. I will agree with you. The Queen is HOT. That didn't last too long. I enjoyed that. She was my queen.
Finally saw it and loved it...and yes, the queen was f'n hot...Goes to show you that you don't need big cans to be hot...well, I like big cans, but you know what I mean... Visually, it was spectacular...Historically, well, who cares, it was a great fighting movie...could it have been better with the dialouge and plot, sure, but who cares... I'll be buying this on Blu-ray...
Can we just forget about the fact that the special effects make the blood disappear into thin air and get back to talking about the HOTtie queen?
Finally saw it last night. Epic. Definitely would rank among the greatest movies of the decade so far. Jack Bauer ain't got nothing on that Leonidas dude. And now that I've seen the movie and finally get the above screencap --- hahahhahahahahaha
Heh ... I read back on some of the "analysis" that has been going on in this thread. Some of you people need to learn how to go out to a movie and enjoy it. Don't sit there trying to count historical inaccuracies, psychoanalyze characters or muse endlessly about the depth of the plot. Just enjoy the movie. Most entertaining flick to hit the theaters in a long time and we've got people whining about historical inaccuracies. It's a bloody comic novel adaptation for crying out loud. And for all its detractors, this particular movie probably contains more % historical truth than any of the "epics" that have come around lately (Troy, for one). Heck, even the line "we'll fight in the shade" wasn't made up. It was awesome. The visuals were groundbreaking, the battle sequences were BRILLIANTLY done. I can understand if someone says they didn't like it because it was too violent or something. All this over-the-board psychoanalysis crap is what I don't get. Trying to compare it to some alleged Holy Grail of epic movies. No one has really ever made a movie like this, so there's nothing that you can compare it to fairly. That was just a damn good movie.
Finally saw this movie last weekend. I didn't read this entire thread for spoiler's sake, so forgive me if this is a repost... The queen is the (very pretty) Jar Jar of 300. I'm hoping for a fan edit. Otherwise, incredible flick.
S-Wilkins - I just saw the movie last night and you are like the first poster in this thread that pointed out the real beauty in this movie. Wow!!! She was smoking hot!!!! What other movies has she been in???
I saw this movie yesterday, and thought it was a bit overrated. Yes, the visuals were nice, but it seemed to be slow at many points. The only thing I got out of it was that in a odd way, the Spartans seemed to be the bad guys. It also would have been more realistic if they actually portrayed the Persians as people instead of mythical creatures.
I just saw it this weekend. Visually stunning and creative. A huge accomplishment in this area. The story was kinda slow. If not for it's action sequences I would have lost interest in the story and it's very hard for me to do that when I' am watching a movie. I came out of the theater thinking it was a bit overrated. A good movie but not great like a lot of critics claim for it to be.
