I drove my family from Brownsville to Colorado for this years vacation. We left last Tuesday and got back yesterday. We stayed at Manitou Springs at the base of Pike's Peak. Aside from all the incredible sights to see (Pike's Peak, Garden of the Gods, Anasazi cliff dwellings, Seven Falls), what I really noticed was a lack of graffiti and punks, and everyone was very friendly! Even in nearby Divide and Cripple Creek, where we howled with the wolves and rode a steam engine train, all seemed safe. Roswell was interesting as well as we were there for the anniversary of the UFO crash discovery! There were some strange cats there that day. We also hit Carlsbad caverns. We only hit the Big Room, because I still had to get to San Antonio, but that was awesome as well.

That's because everyone has a 'script for the ganga these days(especially those folks over in Manitou). We're mellow as hell as long as you don't mess with our dispensaries.
So youre from Brownsville.......border town. You went to Colorado and it was safe. No **** teach. I hope you enjoyed your vacation.
What the hell part of Colorado has your friend been to? I'm biased as all hell, but I cannot come up with any place that would be described as a "hell hole" (except for maybe the Eastern plains, but we consider that Kansas anyway).
Is there a theme park there...? I'm looking for pre-teenage friendly places for my daughters and good spots for me and my wife (also a teacher like you, sir).
dont listen to OP. I had family return. One of the kids had to get stitches on their head after a fall! Stay out!
