-Microsoft Security Essentials. -Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware(I usually turn it off because of it blocking some sites) -Firefox + Noscript(most important), adblock plus(no more annoying advertisement on Youtube) Add-ons. Also install Google Chrome. Always best to have both Firefox and Google Chrome if one doesn't work properly. Some sites might not work properly because of the Noscript. -7zip -Daemon Tool Lite -VLC, Media Player Classic -Shark007 codecs -Apache OpenOffice 3.4(if you don't have Microsoft Office) -CCleaner -Defraggler(turn off the Windows deframentation and use this) Just make sure to use the 64bit version if you're running Windows 7 64bit. Also make sure to get rid or unwanted bloat wares that came with the laptop that will slow it down.
