You need to rent Oz. Any season. Then tell me if prison is better than death. Or, if you want, I can let you talk to my sister who is a psychologist at the Dallas County Prison. She wont advocate sending anyone to prison "for a lesson." You send them there because they are bad news and you want them to go away forever. My buddy Rick did 8 months in Nashville for a ecstasy deal bust and it took him years to get his life back together. He still can't get a great job...which sucks for him since he had a 3.7 Chem Engineering Degree at Vandy and was just trying to score some tabs for him and his buddies at Spring Break.

I'm with DT on this one...if he's your friend, talk to him first. If he's still in school, they have drug counselors. But going to the cops? Holy crap.

 

Don't be a rat. Talk to the guy, tell him your opinion. If he doesn't listen to you then you've done all you can.

Do not rat him out! This is not a case where someone is mugging people, robbing banks, or even B and E. All of those are crimes that victimize innocent people. If his crime were along these lines I would say call the cops, but this guy isn't forcing his customers to come buy drugs.

What he's doing is stupid and self-destructive, but if you are concerned for him as a friend, the WORST thing you could do is turn him in to the police.

All of the people here giving the advice to turn him in, take a minute and imagine yourself going into prison for a drug bust. Really think about what your days would be like with the 24/7 threat of violence and rape until you get out. This is what you would do to a friend?

The solution is really simple, you'll need a one armed mand and a group of male strippers for the plan to work. Have the one armed man go to buy some drugs from him, then get the hot cops to jump out and act like they're being arrested. Then the one armed man freaks out and starts shooting, in the mayhem his fake arm will fall off and blood shoots everywhere. Once your friend starts freaking out the one armed man looks at him and says "And that is why you don't sell drugs". There's no way it could fail.

i dont' remember an instance where jail ever helped out a drug dealer, much less those who just used them. it just became another outlet for them to deal and more clientele.
