Until a president actually takes office, no one can say for sure how well or badly he will do. We will just have to wait and see.
Right leaning moderate. Undecided right now. I plan to do more research about some third party candidates. If the election were held tomorrow I would not feel as though I could in good conscience give my vote to either of the lead candidates and I would therefore abstain, courteously.
How many Republicans are not voting in this poll just because they don't want to look like a loser in front of their new found liberal internet buddies. *cough cough* MadMax, today the world waits.
I'm actually surprised the results don't more heavily favor Obama considering this board. I had a very disturbing dream last night detailing how much me and McCain disagree. He's pro-life, against same sex marriage, and voted against the Bush tax cuts. The only thing we have in common is that we both like to blow stuff up. My main reason for supporting McCain is the company he keeps. John Chambers, Fred Smith, Carl Icahn, and Greg Mankiw are supporters of his, and a few of them are on his team. I'll gladly take that lineup. If Mike Bloomberg switched sides I'd have an orgasm, but I think his issue's mostly the war. If we didn't invade Iraq he'd be singing a different tune. I have a lot of respect for Mike Bloomberg. I find it interesting while most financial donations are going to Obama, a Wall Street poll in Barrons is showing that 64% are expecting a McCain victory.
TJ's chosen candidate has lost. It won't be official until August, but she'd have to convince a bunch of party people to change their minds.
After the general election is decided in November, the loser shall exile himself from posting in this sub-forum for a period of 100 days, with the exile beginning at 12:00 AM on Inauguration day, 2009.
<---- The pole results. Are people deleting their cookies and voting for Jimmy Carters second term more than once? Liberals do not dominate this region. Houston is one of, if not the most conservative big cities in America.
Left leaning moderate and I like both candidates. If I had to vote for today it would be for Obama, but that could change by the time November gets here.
