For Ely? No way! If they are willing to deal, a second round pick would make them pleased as punch, in my opinion. Maybe GATER would have a better idea about what might be needed. (well, no maybe about it!) Ely is on his rookie contract, and will be a FA in '06. (that's how I read it... http://www.dfw.net/~patricia/contracts) Do we have a trade exception we could use, with a pick, to get him? Anyone?

I think Denver or somebody went after him with the second rounder and Charlotte said No.

Any 3 way trade dumping Yao to NY or LA -> Minn -> sending (kg) to Houston. :D championship here we come

I say NY or LA so that NBA can still put one of their most marketable stars in a major market. I really dont care how he gets here.

BTW thats probably the only trade I would make involving our two main guys. KG stats this season 21 pts 10 boards 5 assists

Only if we fire CD and hire Isaiah, Babcock, Weisbrod, or Elgin.

I would probably do this as well, but I would want them to take some of our garbage in the deal.

    knicks: ariza, lee, and mo-t.
    rox: wesley and juwan

pros: knicks get some salary cap relief, a solid vet pf.
rockets get ariza a major upgrade over rybo and his bird rights (not that many quality free agents end of of this season), lee good potential cheap rookie contract.

cons: mo-t's contract, depth at pf takes a hit.

Bring big shawn out of retirement, park him at the offensive end of the rim so that tmac can dunk on him at will anytime during the game.

actually , its a bad joke..i feel sorry for shawn bradley he's always got a big target on his back.

that would put us in a position to beat the Spurs. Brad miller could really spread the defense
