If you want facts, there is one for you. Go watch the first 10 Rox games this season, many of our opponents when their ball handler will be on attack, they often will try to switch our weakest defender to the ball handler, and his name is not Harden, but Melo.
While CP3 did not shoot the ball well so far this season, but saying he played like a scrub is just plain wrong. When you have a tall white guy who can't even jump up for a lob, when you have horrible 3 pt shooters in the lineup, when the defense of the team is so bad, wtf you can do with the ball? Obviously he will be over dribbling a lots and plus he is in a shooting slump, that doesn't help. But the problem is not in CP3, it first starts with Morey, and yes Melo is toxic and he better just leave, but if we will not have any major additions, this Rox team is going no where.
I didn't say he played like a scrub, other than about 3 games he has been pretty bad. Not only in shooting but turning the ball over too. Right now he's averaging the most Turnovers for his career and his worst shooting % He's not playing like an all-star, and Gordon for most of the season has played pretty badly too. A team is carried by its best players, not its worst. No one goes "Oh, if only Shaun Livingston played better..." The truth is that Harden, Paul, Gordon, and Capela need to carry this team.
I'll take Zion honestly, if you're asking me right now. If you told me "Have one bad season and get Zion" then yes. That sets us up for a dynasty, if he meets the hype that is. But it's not going to happen as long as Harden and CP3 are playing, they will at least get us into the playoffs, even if they are not playing up to their standards.
