Didn't Paul Bako kick our asses in the playoffs a couple years ago?

Ken Griffey Jr. got hurt in that game too. He was trying to catch Bako's hit and dislocated his shoulder.

We need to worry about the Pirates. Why? Who won the superbowl? The Buccaneers. Who won the NCAA college Championship? The Buckeyes. Who could win the WorldSeries? The Bucs.

Thanks to the Astros Houston can keep Clutch City as their name.

Jimy Williams should give the game ball to LaRussa for taking out Morris. Morris was dominating and he didn't look like he was slowing down.

man, if hidalgo and redding play the whole season like this, we may be looking at 100 wins. you pretty much know what you'll get with bags, kent, berkman, oswalt, dotel, etc..but imo redding and hidalgo are the wildcards.

what i'm really curious about is dotel's injury and how far he is from 100%. so far he's gotten the job done but those 2 innings last night were far from the norm. his delivery was really funky and he topped out at 92-93. if it works fine but he's definitely bothered by something.

other than that it's a bit too early for me to worry about robertson and mohler especially when we're 4-1. if redding can establish himself as a legit 3 than those 2 will do fine at the end of the rotation. if anything happens munroe can step in, he was a HUGE surprise last year.

I wouldn't put too much stock into it. IIRC, his velocity was somewhat slow last April as well. It takes a while for him to get back to throwing 95-98 mph.

Seeing the Astros smack around that egomaniac overrated Roger Clemens to win the series is a recurring dream of mine. For it to come true would be ecstasy.

I think this team has a lot of potential. It has a good mix of players.

The thing Im most hopeful for is Bagwell having a really good year.;)

Hidalgo is the X factor of this team. There are very few times when he gets to the plate without a runner in scoring position.
