Nah, Be more hopeful, the new generation will grow up with opportunities that their predecessors did not have. I think Iraq will come around, but it is gonna take a long time. DD
Yes, it would happen if the UN were there. But it wouldn't breed the kind of contempt for the US that we're facing now. We would actually have some help instead of going it alone. My main concern is paying for all this, and losing unnecessary lives.
On this I agree. But the biggest issue over there is not the Iraq war, but the US and it's support of Israel. If the USA got their nose out of that region and let them sort themselves out, it would be much better. Yes, that could mean a tactical nuclear war from Israel into Syria etc, but that may be what it takes. DD
That may happen, but those types of governments never last, people would not accept it, particularly in Iraq. Just watch Iran fall in the next few years. Religious governments will never work, people will eventually grow weary and revolt, peacefully or violantly. DD
It has lasted in Iran for about the last quarter century. Anyway, it's not the length that matters. Even just a few years of state sponsored jihad and indoctriniation could cost untold numbers of lives and havoc.
Iran is a true Theocracy Syria is a Military Republic Saudi Arabia is a Monarchy Algeria is a Socialist Republic Libya is a Military Dictatorhip They all have some form of Islamic law, but a theocracy is different. DD
Actually isn't sleeping gas technically considered a chemical weapon and thus banned? I remember reading somewhere the irony of using it. Could be wrong.
that's my thought. if you're enforcing Islamic law, then you're a theocracy. even if you're doing it under the guise of a royal family.
I don't think so, they are not true theocracies, they use a bastardized version of Islamic law. See my above post with links. DD
I guess I was trying to kid a kidder.. Faos had said... So I was doing the thing without the use of the ... ...as in let's be more assinine, please!
Man, that would suck....sleeping gas is something that should be used, especially in urban fighting. Does anyone know if it is banned? DD
Gas sounds like a good idea. Gas the place and send Iraqi troops in with more gas. I imagine that the leader his held up some where where an initial gas attack may not get to him. But yeah, send in the iraqi's with gas, knock em all out. Not a single american has to step foot in the damn place.
If he is in there with his ragtag bunch of cowardly, AK wielding morons shooting at our troops, level the damned thing. Reduce it to tiny bits along with the moronic Islamists within. For the left to argue that we should "leave that mosque alone" is the same kind of thinking that produced the idiotic bomb sanctuaries in Vietnam. Guess where the NVA stored all of their SAMs and other munitions?
Yeah, let's blow up this Shrine that many Shiite's hold more dear than Mecca. That won't create any more enemies. Glad some of you make video games and talk about sports rather than run our military.
