Hard to see Novak making much of an impact in either system. Novak = a taller version of Bryce Drew with a shot.
Man, that is some crazy stuff Durv...how many did you have to look at before you found these 3.... Durv is right though, Novak is brought into the game in all 3 of those with about a minute or less to play.... DD
It was easy. I just looked at games where the score was close at the end, in particular the ones we lost. As expected, JVG would bring in Novak for 3-point shooting purposes. It doesn't exactly take an offensive genius to make that substitution. According to 82games, Novak was on the floor in 5% of the "clutch time" minutes all of last season (last 5 minutes of the game + overtime, margin within 5 points). This year, it's 6%. And through February, I bet Novak saw much more time last year than he has on this squad.
