Right....is that why the next big PF acquisition after Oakley (not counting Howard, who was part of Tmac trade for salary purposes) was Stromile Swift? Another washed-up, Oakley type player?

Anyway - please elaborate on this - which D-league players were available and how did JVG put the kibosh on their signing - and which team snatched them up within the span of Oakley's cup of coffee with the Rockets?

I am warming up, slowly, but how can you not like this win streak. Right now, Rockets fans are living large. I actually think TMac is starting to believe that this team can make a run in the playoffs. He seems more animated of late. Two months ago they were DOA, and he knew it. Things have changed.

I don't understand what about the hate of Jeff. He is a great coach. He didn't have Scola and Landry in the lineup. He got 120% from Chuck, bowen, etc. It's not his fault to play those kind of guys. It's GM's job. I will give morey more credit than rick at this moment. we still didn't consistently see his offensive game yet. but we still have jeff's imprint for sure.

Why does Van Gundy even come up in this thread? He was fired. It happens to damn near every coach in the game, no matter how brilliant, no matter how beloved, no matter how famous. I thought this was about almost everyone giving up on Adelman and calling for his head early in the season, when we looked confused and hopeless on the court. Far too many were calling for Rick's head on a platter, far too soon. Those are the ones who should own up to being wrong. What does Jeff Van Gundy have to do with anything? He's history.

Now anyone with a functional brain can see why he has the record he's compiled and why he was a great choice to replace Van Gundy, once Van Gundy was cut lose. Sit back and enjoy the ride!

    I loved JVG
And Adelman is doing a very good job. I love his player management.

I started off with a real disappointment thinking Adelman was going to try and make us the KingsSouthwest...

Well he hasn't, we are still salty on defense and Yao gets 90% of his points in the post. TMac still plays the same role in this offense. The biggest difference is the much improve PG play from Rafer and the addition of Scola and Landry. Scola is perfect for our team and credit Adelman for starting him over chucky. Landry gives alot of energy off the bench.

I just like the way Adelman is using the roster.

I was wrong for doubting Les. He's the best! :D

Stromile was a CD hire and JVG never gave him a fair chance to prove himself in Houston.

    I was wrong about Adelman.

    there I said it.

I was angry about JVG being let go and I predicted that Rick wouldn't get as many wins this year and that we wouldn't make it out of the first round...

then I added the quote to my signature in a very arrogant manner for a couple of bad weeks this season...

I was wrong. Are you reading this BrooksBall? No one here should make predictions against the Rockets and feel proud of it. people need to let go of the negativity and just embrace what has happens over the course of the season...

Perhaps because he was mentioned in the original post?

Eerie - Now we get to see how Rick the Ruler will deal with Yao's annual broken bone. It's especially eerie because Yao and Tracy combined will miss (knock on wood) about the exact same amoutn of games last year as this year.

Well, **** me. Of course at the top of the roller coaster the next logical step is a nose dive out of no where. It just has to be rock bottom too.

Those heart pills will surely come in handy.
