Ok, Tmac is still top 5....so why are we trading him?

    ...Yeah, that's what I thought.

Boozer is an upgrade, but a huge gamble. If we don't win the championship it's a tremendous bust.

I can't see us trading our current co-MVP (Yao maybe shares it) for the player I despise the most in the NBA.

Why is everyone so afraid of trading a scola? I remember during a game last year JVG was announcing and some guy was talking about Scola and how he's invaluable to the rockets team. JVG praised Scola and then went on to say, "I wouldnt say he's invaluable, if you could get a player like odom or someone like that for him, you do it." I agree with that sentiment. Just because he got his start here and everyone loves him doesn't mean we cant find a significant upgrade over him.

Even assuming he passes a physical doesn't necessarily mean he will be the same performer or the injury won't mysteriously pop up again (we all know how effective physicals are.. look at Cuttino.. but that's another story entirely). Boozer's knee/quad problem has been Tmac-esque this season.. by this I mean he's been in.. out.. in.. out.. "oh I'm good to go"... "oh I'm not good to go".. (of practice mostly) and constantly whining about it. I could easily see this happening when he gets back on the court.. in and out and in and out of games. Of course, this is all speculation too, but this potentially could happen here.

The main question is can you stand another McGrady-type of walking wounded on this team? And remember, we're giving up a fairly solid player with an expiring in Artest.. and a super-constant, super-efficient, and cheap contract fan-fav in Scola

JazzFanz.com are r****ded, I dont know if im just seeing life through RED color glasses but they all agreed that they didnt want Scola because of his "Horrible Attitute."

When the hell did Scola get a bad attitude???? They have Douche-snogles on their team like Mehmet Okur and AK-Give me a tissue-47 and they think Scola has a bad attitude.

I sincerely believe that the Baby Seals that that were getting beaten that Drexler were refering to were actually Jazz Fans.

The only way I would even consider it would be if it involved T-Mac. Something like T-Mac and Battier for Boozer and (gulp) AK47. It makes me sick to even think about it.

    because scola is consistent.

lamar odom is NOT consistent. boozer right now is INJURED. if we trade scola, i want another CONSISTENT player for him.

you know what you expect from scola every night and it's not just hustle plays only (like people who are in love with shane battier).

scola is not untradeable to me. but for the rumors where he's brought up in, it's better to keep him.

I agree here... Scola is a nice piece... but man we are talking Carlos Boozer here... a guy who scores at an insane efficiency level and rebounds extremely well. Rather mediocre on D (at best), but Scola isn't a huge upgrate over him.

You give Boozer the ball around the top of the key with proper spacing, and he ends up with 20+ points on .580 TS% with very few TOs.

You know... high % shots, it's a good thing.

Boozer, and a plus for Tmac, then Scola or Artest for a true PG. The rockets could have a great future if those could happen.

Landry is consistant too...Basically any PF that plays for the rockets is going to be consistant because of all the good looks they see close to the basket. Odom wold average 10 rebounds a game easily with the rockets and he is a much better defender, passer, ball handler and scorer than scola. he is a dang good third star player for a contending team. He's proven that. Scola has only proven to put up numbers consistantly. There are alot of guys who can get numbers consistantly. I want guys who do things that help us win games, especially in the playoffs.

I think boozers playmaking, rebounding and his effecient scoring would help us get to the next level.

Yep. He would instantly make us better. I thought having Artest off the bench would be enough to get us there, but i didnt know tmac would regress as much as he has. We need another star at either at PF or PG to make up for Tracy's regression.

OK, you got me - I'm insane. I said, "Scola IMHO is as good or better than Booze, certainly for these Rox. He is not going anywhere."

Boozer might be better, but is not a better fit. As a player, with his health, or with his contract situation. And the most I will agree to is 'might be better'.

NO, no Scola for Boozer - even straight up.

Just get a dang legit point guard already. All this upgrading average when we should be upgrading below average.

I just don't understand why in the hell Morey would ever trade our most consistent player. Scola has been injury free, and consistent night in and night out. His free throws actually go in and he rebounds like a mad man. Yao and Scola should be the only untouchables on this team at this point. I will really question the front office if Scola is dealt.

Boozer is a backstabber and a money grubber. I would never want that cancer on our team.

A 32 year old juwan howard averaged about the same production as Luis Scola this year, but somehow Scola's not worth giving up to get a player like Boozer. Add the fact that we have a guy named carl landry who is more efficient and younger than scola to play minutes and I just dont understand what makes scola invaluable.
