What maybe gives this trade some life is the talks NJ is having with Portland
about Ruben Patterson. One could see them parting with Richard Jefferson for another player or expiring contract of the Rockets if they can get Patterson and the PF they covet in Swift.

I can see how new jersey would think they would be a better team with Patterson, Wesley, and Swift than they are right now with RJ and Mciniss.

"BIG" = trade for a big man or big name?

"going to have like 5 people picked" = 5 player trade?

"NO IDEA all the stuff we're doing" = something that hasn't been posted on the board before?

"we're biting the bullet on the giveaway" = someone is getting hosed on the deal?

"guess there's some legal jargon there or something" = can't talk about it yet

    just guessing

I think we are one of the 500 teams that have a chance at Artest.

    bullet = wizards?

    5 players??

I would hope that a 3rd team was involved. Wash was in the Artest sweepstakes until Arenas quashed it.

doc starts off his post about Stromile and talks about a give away were they don't get anything back. Mayber they are so fed up with Stromile that they are willing to give him up for nothing.

That Richard Jefferson deal..........yeah, I've seen that posted, too. I just hope that Bill "The Rocket Gay" didn't get the rumor started.

If Les wants to bring in a third max contract, great. Jefferson is a great player. Maybe he'll help provide the backbone this team needs.

I think the rumor involved Swift, Alston, Moochie and Wesley's expiring contracts et al for Jefferson, Jackson, maybe McInnis.

Just too much to ask for, though.

Is Mac a truck? We pick 5 players for TMac? Hope we are not giving away TMac. It definitely constitutes "fans have NO IDEA". Could be the other way around and we give 5 players for 1(truck)?

Just a quick theory. I can't help but speculate.

Regarding the "1-300" odds. Are we gettting somebody's lottery pick? Is there a team out there whose odds are currently in the 1-300 range of landing the top pick???

    Just a thought.

Essentially, we'd be "giving something away" this year, in exchange for something better next year.

Or maybe he really is just excited about the truck.....

Dokken, Ratt, and Kiss were hair bands that sucked so maybe it has something to do with New Jersey.

If the deal actually goes down, does clutch have to unblock his articles. TRG will become the next matt drudge.

I think you guys are reaeding too much into this, Doc Rocket is obviously paid by the Rockets to encourage fans to show up at the games because of some giveaways. Also, clearly, he can't afford a new truck so he's hoping to win a new one.

    Just my take! :p
