Wasn't this guy with the Chronicle? Anyway...

This is the same LAKERS team. It's good to get veterans, just like the Spurs did with Kerr and Smith, to get to the rings.

Too many stars with too many years on them "just to get a ring" will be detrimental.

    Does anyone remember 1997?

I just wish Rox owner would OK taking salary off another team in a lopsided deal for playoff bound (sic) Rox.

I completely agree. A TEAM needs to have role players, not just a bunch of superstars. There will not be enough ball to go around in Dallas this year, and that may cause more problems than anything else. They have always said that Cuban will do anything to build a winner, but how about keeping the same guys around for more than a year so they can develop chemistry???? I hope they all fall flat on their face this year, even though I do like Dirk's game. Build around Dirk, don't just give him more competition for shots.

This trade is ridiculous. I do not know what Dallas is thinking. Who will play center? Dirk....maybe against some east teams...but he can't defend against most western and the few good eastern centers. Shawn Bradley is Shawn Bradley. Just because Jamison and Walker averaged 20 pts per game last year does not mean they can be close with having to share the ball with Dirk, Finley, Nash. I agree with the role player thing...maybe they win 65 games during the regular season, but come playoff time it will be the same story. No post presence, no defense...equals losing to teams that have it. You have to give credit to Cuban though...he is trying to make the Mavs a real show.

Oh...and there goes the Mavs shooting percentage...at least a ten % reduction! Walker jacks more shots than anyone I have seen...

IMO the best part of this deal for Dallas is
    TONY DELK

they needed a good Backup PG
Delk is better than . . .what did they have again?

you gotta have role players cuban. i'm definitely curious to see what that team does but i just don't see that as a championship squad. they have some names assembled but will they play together? can anyone on that team even spell defense? he makes it interesting and fun in dallas anyways.
