It was entertaining. The only "good" Jurassic Park other than the 1st one. Best use of 3D I've experienced. I HATE 3D but liked it here. It was good but I have no desire to watch this movie ever again.
I know what you mean, nearly made me ignore how dumb her character is. The movie itself is what it is, it's fun, mindless fun. Pratt carries most of it with his general likablitiy because the script is a bit of a mess.
Just saw it. Pretty kickass. 9/10 Rate it so high because for nostalgic reasons and it delivered. Reminded me of the first Jurassic Park. I wish they would extend the movie a bit and spend more time with the rides and dinosaurs. I know they don't have the "wow" factor like the first Jurassic Park did, so maybe they could try making it up with the rides and other concepts the park had and interactions with the good guy dinosaurs. There were some good laughs like what mfastx said. The only problems that I had were: Spoiler - They tried too hard in selling Chris Pratt as a badass. They even had the kid flat out tell us that he is, like we needed assistance on thinking who is what in the movie. - There wasn't any one character that we were attached to. I didn't even remember any of the character's name besides Claire because they repeated it so much in the beginning and breh-ette was hot. - Was waiting for the black guy, Pratt's assistant, to die, but he was OK... and his character basically served no purpose. Didn't even help with anything. Got trolled by Hollywood. - The little brother knew too much and wished some random brontosaurus would eat him. - Errybody else got chased and eaten by the indosaur or whatever it was called, but the 2 kids outran him, and by a good distance too. Took the indosaur a while to catch up to them at the waterfall. - No bewbs scene with the redhead Anyway,I'm being too picky. The movie was awesome. I would have loved to see more chaos though, especially with the general public involved. More gore and deaths.
http://www.forbes.com/sites/scottme...c-world-scores-record-breaking-209m-us-debut/ Who thought Pratt would be this successful, in movies? I'm glad he wasn't typecast as someone who could only play someone like Andy Dwyer, coming out of Parks and Rec being over. Burt Macklin...

The scene where the kids found the visitor center from the old park hit me pretty hard with the nostalgia, didn't expect that.
I'd give it a solid 8.5/10. They did a great job of trying to recapture what made the first one so successful. The only real criticism I have is that they didn't really spend much time with non-carnivores. Basically, they went from the raptors, to the Indo-Rex, and that was it until the very end. But, overall, had a great time watching it.
Really? I think he's played some form of that character in pretty much every mainstream movie I've seen him in until Jurassic World. We've seen professional baseball player Andy Dwyer in Moneyball, animated Andy Dwyer in the Lego Movie, and superhero Andy Dwyer in Guardians.
You're forgetting the role that is closer to Dwyer than all of them... when he helped take out Bin Laden in Zero Dark Thirty (pretty sure he was channeling his inner Burt Macklin for that character).
Saw it today in IMAX 3D. Super nostalgic, and the most similar to Jurassic Park out of all the sequels. Also I love monster movies and dinosaurs so it was a great ride. 9/10 for me. I'm not going to be picky sure there was a lot of cheesiness and thing I didn't care about but as a total package it was very good.
Guardians was a lesser Marvel comic and Jurassic Park was already on the brink of being overused as movie material Both went golden on the market, tip my hat off to those who did it
A movie can be lots of things. Depends on the genre. Are you specifically talking about summer blockbusters?
