http://aol.sportingnews.com/soccer/...ach-national-team-usa-american-world-cup-2013 He is the worst coach Bayern ever had. I can only hope for USA football that he will be fired soon as your national coach.
It's all about changing the culture. The onfield product won't improve significantly no matter who the coach is unless our system for developing youth changes. I believe that was one of the main reasons they brought him in. It won't start paying dividends for a few years. Changing only at the top would keep us on the treadmill of mediocrity that we've been on for a while.
Then he might as well resign and start coaching the U-21 team because he's lost the veterans. These USNT players have been coddled a bit much and Klinsmann decided to shake it up. The players don't like it and they are more responsible for the **** they've taken on the pitch than Klinsmann. It is a culture shake up and these players took the cheap way out by going puss and calling out the coach without giving their names.
http://bbs.clutchfans.net/showthread.php?t=233231 The futility of Jürgen Klinnsman is being discussed in the WORLD CUP QUALIFIERS thread.
Lol, ****ing Germans -- the only time you bring them in is to build rockets... Wait, build Rockets... Should we add Dirk next year or bring in Detlef Schrempf as a coach?
I am a German bot (but with bugs, which is why this response was delayed). I can also fry eggs and shoot rockets to the moon.
I've always liked Klinsmann as a player. I think I've said this before, but I was never much of a soccer fan (still only really watch the world cup and USA/Mexico games), but when he was playing in the world cup in the US back in the 90s, I was really impressed by his game. He had an amazing goal vs. Korea (I think) that I still remember. As a coach, I like what he's done so far with the US. At least in interviews where I've seen him, he projects a confidence and credibility that the US hasn't displayed before. I think part of that is due to his history as a player. I also like how he's not afraid to shake things up. So what if the veterans on the US squad don't like that? It's not like they're international stars anyways, so I'd rather have a hungry player out there than somebody like Bocanegra who has a lot of caps but is a mediocre player. The hunger of the new guys will more than overcome the experience factor of the mediocre players, in my view. Plus it keeps the pressure up on all players. That's good. And remember, now Mexico can't even beat the US at Azteca!
