Interesting that Thomas and Alito were not held up by a filibuster given their lack of 60 votes (they voted 70+ for cloture on Alito). Different times I suppose.
Some wisdom from 2013: Republicans would not tolerate a filibuster of Kavanaugh. If it hadn't been nuked in 2013, it'd have been nuked in 2018 guaranteed (if not 2017 for Gorsuch).
