Based on my observation I believe the player we should keep are Yao/Mutombo/Butler Scola/Hayes/(spot for a SF/PF via trade?) Tmac/Shane/Harris Wells/James/(spot for one SG/SFvia trade?) Alston/Francis/Brooks What we need is a SG/SF. and a SF/PF who can shoot 3s. Alston is probably still our best PG. We probably want to keep him at this moment. That left Head, Landry, Lucas, Novak, Reed, Snyder, Sura to be cut or trade. Reed and Sura has no value what so ever. Our trade assets are Head, Lucas, Snyder, Novak and maybe Sura's contract. If we can find a couple of two for one deal, then we are good. But we do need a good SG/SF to add to our arsenal.
people are claiming that they are playing alston to raise his trade value which i think is ridiculous. More along the lines of they are showing how valuable alston is to the rockets.
Agree let everybody play. We have to give minutes for Landry, Brooks, Steve. We cannot move anybody right now. Just play and watch

I watched the game in the morning cauz I am in Asia. The new type of offense is really impressive. They got a lot of strategies. But they still need more time to really become a team. Oh! By the way, Battier changed a lot and there is no reason to trade him!!
That's the Bobcats and Clippers theory for winning. It's hasn't worked for them. On the other hand, look at what the previous champions did and how they were built.
Out of your mind. A guy like Shane is hard to find. He just doesnt do anything "flashy" so you think he is easily replaceable. Not the case. I actually think he is one of the untouchables on this team. And I was actually against the Rudy Gay trade at first. Dont be too quick to give up on a guy like Battier.
Not sure how many of you actually watch that game, which i don't think any of us should miss it after the long and wonderful summer. Anyway, here is my take. The game was sloppy, heck we expected it to happen with experimental rotation. Yao, Tmac, SF, MJ, Hayes, Scola are keeper for sure. Head - play ok (the scoreboard is deceiving), he's appears to be bigger and ripped. he shoots are off at the 3 and his passing skill are not that good. (when he was playing with synder) Synder - that man has lost a step or two and his arm appears to be still hampering him. he "injured" his right hand again. I see him not making the team. Novak - he displace hustle got quick release, but he doesn't fit in right now. maybe a yr at DL would help him out. He's having problem guarding Ryan Flyin Bowen. Reed - he's ok, nothing special. expect him to be cut Harris - he is way better than Reed. I would keep him. almost like another version of hayes.
Oh, I forgot to mention alston. Looking at how SF and MJ played last nite. I have a feeling that we would need all 3 PG to fill our needs. alston - the only one that can run and distribute MJ - shoot first, pass second. SF - can run, and cut with hops.
I would give Snyder a spot to feel comfortable with the new offense and i believe Snyder has a lot to offer. So stick around buddy!!
Head is not getting cut. My guess would be Sura, Snyder, Reed, Butler, Novak and they D-League Landry
